delfamParticipantthis all comes back to draft night when they drafted a SG that needs the ball and doesn’t compliment their franchise PG.

Bob BallParticipantWhen info like this gets leaked from player only meetings I always feel like thats a bad sign for the locker room. Im sure NBA players get mad at each other but if something happens in a players only sitution the media should never findout.

theballerwayParticipantlol.
The issues are that offense, which is an issue for most Mike Brown Teams. While the team defensive stats are up the offense is offensive even, plus 4-7 record and the weight of expectations. I think this team will figure ‘it’ out but the they really need to figure out how to get some points on the board. For therecord Waiters flat out denies the claims.
NOt even the infamous Harrison Barnes can save that offense. Brown obviously misses have a true alpha type player, Im thinking Kobe/Lebron, Irving not that calibre as effective as he is

IknoBall12ParticipantThere were just words. But from the tweets I saw from seiko smith it was between waiters and other guys like CJ miles and varejao. Saw no mention of kyrie

delfamParticipantDrafting Waiters was one mistake, but backing it up in the next draft and not taking McLemore was even worse. I guess they didn’t want to admit Waiters was a mistake and by taking McLemore they would be admitting that, but that is just dumb logic and sets your franchise back even further.
Waiters is a Ginobli type player, a great spark plug off the bench that leads the 2nd unit and puts up points, he isn’t a starting worthy player as long as Irving is there, he just doesn’t compliment him.
McLemore was the pick, a great shooter who can create his shot and compliments Irving more. Bennet made no sense as you already have Thompson and Zeller.
Every team needs a great sixth man and leader of the 2nd unit. Not realizing what Waiters is or not wanting to admit he was a mistake and not taking McLemore just made everything worse and set this franchise behind.

Taylor Gang MikeParticipantMclemore and Barnes would have complemented Kyrie more than Waiters. Its that simple. They should have been thinking about who fits with Kyrie more

PaulsJayhawksParticipantMclemore can’t create his own shot but is a better guy for Irving as he doesn’t need the ball in his hands…waiters would have been a better suited 6th man like Jamal Crawford…or take Barnes last year and Bmac this year…

PlatypusParticipantCould’ve had a core of Irving, Dipo (2013), Barnes (2012), and Thompson.

FastAndFuriousParticipantIt was a writeup on ESPN this morning, Waiters of course denied the incident, but it’s up and all around the web, just google it, I thought most of yall would have heard about it by now.

LitteringAnd…ParticipantWould probably have been the beter pick in hindsight, but I must be one of the few who thinks waiters actually fits fairly well with Kyrie. He gives them versatilty and a second playmaking option in the back court. He actually had a pretty decent rookie year and just needs to work on his efficiency, the skill set is there.
He averages 14ppg and is shooting 40% from the floor and 41.4% from downtown through these 9 games so he’s not doing horribly. Cleavland obvisously have some chemistry issues and of the 4-5 games of their’s i’ve watched this year, I worry about their dependancy on kyrie in 4th quarters. Look he’s unreal, I love his game, but the fact that he gets every clutch shot situation as a high iso at the top of the key seems like a lack of ideas at that point.

joecheck88ParticipantI think Waiters can fit with Kyrie just not working at this point but you’re right, they can work. I mean we say it over and over with the Bulls. D Rose needs a guy that can create his own shot to help take some pressure off Rose. Same with CP3. You just need that right fit. I hate the Spurs as a Suns fan but look at Tony Parker. He does a lot of work with the ball but you can also bring in Ginobili to spell him or to play with him(not as much anymore but you get the reference). The Cavs and Mike Brown need to figure out how to make it work though.

LitteringAnd…ParticipantExactly what I was trying to say, these ellite point gaurds can’t be expected to run the offense and create the shots for 48 minutes a night, 82 games a season. I hope they can work it out and grow together because there’s a lot of potential there.
