FastAndFuriousParticipantCut by team in China, what’s next for him? Does anyone see him playing in the League again, and if he does will he ever be at least a solid player? He still has time as he is only 22, but this guy was rated by Rivals as the overall #1 player in the country for 2010 over guys like Kyrie,B.Knight,Harrison Barnes,Tristian Thompson, etc.
Sad story so far.

Chilbert arenasParticipantNo way he finds himself on an NBA roster anytime soon. I hate to count a kid out like this but his attitude was awful since day one and being cut by an overseas team looks bad on the resume. I thought at worse he could be a Jerryd Bayless type player. Wish him the best but doubt we’ll hear from him in a positive light in the future.

MalcolmxParticipantI will be the first to admit I was super high on Josh Selby in High school. I honestly felt he was better than ever high school guard other than Kyrie but I felt him and Kyrie were sort of a tie I didn’t feel Irving was better. (Boy was I wrong). I think Josh Selby may be done with the league or better yet the league may be done with him. Even though he is just 22. He will have to start collecting checks overseas. It’s a lot of other 6’3 combo guards that are athletic coming up behind him and some can also shoot better and play make better. These 6’3/6’2 combo guards come along very often. Only way he gets back in the league is if he refines his game drastically.
Also is it me or does it seem like he lost athleticism. I know he had the foot injury while he was a freshman but then tested out well athletically while at the 2011 combine. But in games it doesn’t appear as if he is athletic as he once was and a lot of his game was based on his athleticism. With out it,he just is not the same.

r377ParticipantI have got absolutely no sympathy for guys like Selby and Kabongo. They are rated top high school players, then play one disappointing college season then stupidly declare for the NBA draft when they are not ready….
I just don’t get it, why would you not stay at college and develop your game.

FastAndFuriousParticipantUh Kabongo played 1.5 years, and besides what does Myck have anything to do with this topic?
And to be honest you don’t know people’s lives, some people just aren’t cut out for school, some are, you cant judge them because they choose to pursue a career at what they love doing.

PhillySports0ParticipantIn honor of his cut… I decided to watch his battle against Brandon Jennings in Baltimore… sorry I’m not sure how to post the actual video.

omphalosParticipantHe should come down to the NBL in Australia; great weather, English-speaking and a rich tradition of US imports.
James Ennis is killing it down here by the way.

Afactor4ParticipantI also stupidly thought that he would have a pleasantly suprising sophomore season last year after his Summer League MVP heroics.
