He has 9 points 4 rebounds on 4-7 shooting at the end of the 3rd quarter… Beasley averages about 10 minutes a game in 5 games played… Averaging 10.2 PPG and shooting 64 percent… Why isn’t he getting consistent minutes? Maybe he’s now starting to get some minutes but he has not been playing bad and I feel like the Heat should be giving him such a bigger role than he’s been getting this start of the year. But its also only 10 games in so things can obviously change.

I’ll admit, I haven’t seen any of Beasley this year. But if he’s playing anything like his last stops, it’s because he won’t play D, he’s a ball stopper, and never met a shot he didn’t like. Yes, I’ll admit I’m biased as a Wolves fan lol, but yeah

Yeah, The heat move the ball a lot and they play good defense, those are probably 2 of beasleys weakest skills.

with his history, feels like he has to earn it. Can’t just hand it to him. If he keep playing the right way he should be able to get more PT.

The Heat have a loaded roster and Beasley is battling for minutes with the likes of Battier, Anderson, Rashard Lewis and even indirectly Ray Allen and those guys are much more proven than Mike is in key situations. However even as a Suns fan, I’m glad that Mike is playing well in his currently limited role and no doubt this will increase as the Heat trust him with more minutes and look to watch the Big 3’s and the veteran’s workload.

I was just about to post about him.

Ends with 15 PTS, 3 REB, 1 AST in 23 minutes of play.

This Heat bench looks very scary this season.  Anderson-Lewis-Battier-Allen-Cole-Beasley, that’s 6 players that could all see playing time in a single game behind Bosh-Haslem-James-Wade-Chalmers.  The Heat are 11 deep.

Throw in Greg Oden too when they decide he is ready to see a bit of action.

I think LeBron and Wade are gonna do wonders for him. He had his best years alongside Wade, and LeBron really is making an effort to light a fire in him. Theres always been a mental block for him, and Wade and Lebron are perfect mentors for him.

Beasley knows it is last chance city at the Heat, I bet that Pat Riley read him the riot act on day one back there as he’d dealt with him before and Erik Spoelstra knows how to handle far bigger names than Beasley. Having the big 3 around Beasley will do him good plus excellent pros like Haslem, Battier who can teach him some defence, the seen it all veteran in Ray Allen and Chris Anderson who lost time in his career for a drugs issue. All these guys can help and mentor Beasley and hopefully he will respond to it.

Michael is still only 24 years old and he has the cushion of the Suns’ pay off for a couple of years, so he can get his head down in Miami and get a few years soild playing behind him with no issues and then look for a bigger deal in due course be it with Miami or elsewhere.

The interesting thing will be come play off team will Erick Spoelstra give Beasley many minutes or will he stick to the proven back up guys around the big 3.

Yeah, Beasley told a group of Miami reporters last week, that lately he’s been trying to imitate everything Lebron does, that includes working out before practice, his jump shots and his game preparations….Signing with Miami might’ve saved his life and his career…

This guy will blow it.  He’s had ample opportunities to fix his game and seems to get worse on every team he goes to.  He’ll be on the bobcats by the end of the season
