If you were an NBA GM, which current roster would you choose to build your dynasty?

I am sure most people would say the obvious choices in either Miami or OKC. Miami would be great choice just because of LeBron, and despite the aging Wade and Emo, 20 million dollar Chris Bosh. OKC is who I would probably ride with due to their youth and having KD and Russ. Jalen Rose and Bill Simmons recently said their window is closing fast but I would disagree thanks in part to the potential of Steven Adams (who I was totally wrong about).

Golden State, Indiana, Houston, LA and Chicago might be the second tier in this hypothetical debate. GS with the splash brothers, and if Iggy and Bogut can stay healthy. That lineup including Lee, leads the league with a plus 45! Don’t forget about Harrison Barnes either. I am really excited about seeing that small lineup with Curry, Klay, Iggy, Barnes and Lee or Bogut. Indiana wouldn’t be a bad option with the next NBA superstar in George and the emergence of Hibbert and Lance. Houston is a viable threat with Harden, Howard and other peices. Clippers, enough said. Chicago probably won’t get to many votes with their recent play but Rose is still the youngest MVP ever along with Noah and Butler. Remember, you are the GM and not GARPAX!

Then you have the younger teams like Cleveland, Orlando, Detroit and N.O (and perhaps whoever gets the #1 pick). After 4 games, heck, MCW and Philly might get some votes with his historical debut. He sure did give Rose the business. That size and length will give many guards fits in the future.

Take into consideration overall talent, financial flexibility, and don’t forget that necessary superstar…… Who you got?

I have a hard time deciding between OKC and NO just because of Anthony Davis, with Orlando as my honorable mention. If I had more confidence that Oladipo was closer to that Wade comparison and was more of a superstar, than a great role player, I might go with them. I love their roster for the future.

You have fun building around Cousins…..

I should have more detailed. As a GM, your goal is to win championships over the next several years. Do you really think he can take your team to an NBA title?

Gotta go with OKC. You have two top 10 players that are only going to get better. I don’t know if they would be considered the favorites in any given year, but the will have the opportunity to get to the finals each and every year. I don’t know why you are having such a hard time deciding between OKC and NO though. I love Davis and he is probably going to end up a top 5 player in the league at some point, but outside of him they have some talent but it isn’t championship talent. Gordon can never stay healthy and Evans has gotten worse every year since his amazing rookie season. Holiday is a solid point guard and Anderson is a nice player, but are they championship players? Any team with LeBron is going to be a championship caliber team, but I am going to roll with OKC going forward.

In the end I would go with OCK. I just love Anthony Davis that much. Big fan of Holiday as well, but Davis is my dude. I totally forgot about how much they gave Evans over the next several years, ouch. It has nothing to do with Evans, Anderson, and Gordon, and everything to do with Davis. Outside of Paul George and D Rose, I am throwing all my eggs in his basket.

Indy looks to be promising because the are solid on D and can score inside and out. Lance is getting better and they can get some solid pieces for Granger who at this point is not needed.
