i’m jus so offendedParticipantPer ESPN:

Basically started this thread because someone posted a topic about the 2013-14 Louisville squad, I mentioned “don’t forget about Ware” and some dude said pretty matter of factly that he would not be a factor this year. Well then…
Other than that, really happy to see this. I literally stood up and walked around my house with my hand over my mouth when that happened. Obviously he’s got that NY heart. Can’t wait to see him back on the court.

Cardinal_FanParticipant1 word….AWESOME!!!! As a life long University of Louisville fan we love this and are rooting for him!!!! To see him possibly take the floor when the season opens would be fantastic coming off a national championship!!!

OhCanada-ParticipantThat injury was one of the saddest things Ive ever seen in sports. Reminded me of Desean Butler immediatly. Very happy for Kevin hopefully he makes a 100 percent recover and continues to progress on realizing his goals.

he_gets_bucketsParticipantDont want to be a downer, but he wasnt exactly lighting it up before his injury, and while Peyton Siva’s departure should get him some more minutes when he comes back, will he really be that much of an impact player? He was an average player pre injury, and even he comes back 100% I cant imagine being in a cast for half a year will have improved his skills all that much.
Im rooting for him, but I dont particularly think he will be that much of a factor even if he does return.0- Posted on: Wed, 07/10/2013 - 12:06am #817729
khoon24Actually he was just starting to hit his stride when he went down with the injury as anyone who follows Louisville basketball can tell you.

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantStarting to workout is a far cry from being ready to compete. Even if Ware starts the season practicing with Louisville, it would be asking a lot to think Ware’s body will be back at a level where he can play for a contending team this season. I don’t know how realistic it would be for his leg to feel close enough to normal so quickly. The Bone can heal in time, but that is only the start. The health of the muscles, tissues, and nerves that surround the bone have to be built back up as well. We still don’t know how the recovered tibia will impact his knees and ankles. It certainly is good news that he has not had a set back to this point, but that does not mean that as he increases the workload on his body that everything will continue to go smoothly.
