benny15Participantreally more of a formality and confirmation. this deal has been rumored for a couple of days now. personally, this doesnt add up to a D’Antoni ran team. makes me wonder if the GM is on the same page as the coach.

rwd5035ParticipantThe Lakers would have been better off with a player who missed the entire season? Not a chance man.

esperanzafleet69Participantfor a one season rental that still netted them nothing? there must have been better offers out there. look at it this way, they probably wouldnt have gotten as far in the playoffs, and kobe wouldnt have a burst achilles.

Sewok15ParticipantEat your heart out Lakers fanboys….you finally got your big name all star signing. He did quietly have a nice year in Dallas last year but this wasn’t the splash they were all hoping for.
At least you can trick yourself into thinking LeBron would even consider signing there next offseason.

Forte IVParticipantI seriously can’t believe some Lakes “fans” on the Lakers fan page just said Chris Kaman is quote “No different then Dwight Howard and at a cheaper price”. I’m done.

Wahoo757ParticipantGood one year rental. Only for the mini mid-level exception, so why not?

mitztazohtaParticipantMuch love to Kaman but we need an athletic PG along with an athletic wing player coming off our bench so we sign Kaman? Then we Cut Metta? Tuff times are ahead …. I still hope we can pull someone like Nick Young, Terrance Williams or DJ Augustin for a 1 year rental but that’s looking very good considering Kaman came up on the whole exception. To fill out the roster, the Lakers are able to use the veteran minimum which they might be able to sell Williams on “hey come ball here for a year, ideally experience a rebirth and go sign somewhere else next year” but I can’t imagine Young or Augustin accepting such a pitch …. Tuff times are ahead fellas.

strobox88ParticipantI’ll admit I’m a Lakers fan (because of Kobe), but what really worries me about this team is the fact we have a 39-40 year old point guard. The Lakers need to, at the very least, sign a young athletic PG to back Nash up. No more veteran signings for this team.
