mds0549ParticipantToday the Wolves released Michael Galebel and Greg Stiemsma so they didn’t have to guarantee their contracts while the Nuggets picked up JJ Hickson.
The Wolves are moving towards another pickup and look to have one of the deepest teams in their history. Still need to find a defensive minded player which Stiemsma was with his blocked shots and energy. I still think that they’ll trade away either Barea or Ridnour…could they actually bring back Corey Brewer? Other rumors that they are still looking into Alan Anderson.
As far as the Nuggets and Hickson he should finally give them a post player that they haven’t had since Nene left. He won’t be a game changer but with Gallo out for possibly the first couple of months and Igudola gone they are going to need some depth.

SiggyParticipantSteimsma should be picked up quickly. He’s a cheap shot blocking big who can guard C’s. Could do worse with the vet min.
Maybe my Bulls will take a look at him if they don’t sign someone like E.Brand.0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/07/2013 - 3:35pm #816502

aivsdirkParticipantasiek wants to be traded. i understand him. The thing is in basketball philosophy you hope people can put aside what they want for the overall goal of the team but still i understand. Asiek left his back up role in chicago to be a full time starter. Now even with a starter contract he is relegated to the bench again.
–Mchale states he will play them together. In what world would that floor spacing even work? Neither has the footwork to operate close enough to the other to both be effective. This is in a article on espn. I think the reporter was paraphrasing when he wrote Mchale called to mind it when ralph sampson played alongside hakeem. Dwight is niether one of those guys and Asiek is much, much, much farther away from either of those guys. I see Asiek being a key back up moving forward for the rockets, but let me state again. Asiek i understand.0- Posted on: Sun, 07/07/2013 - 3:59pm #816418
mds0549ParticipantI can see whoever loses out on Pekovic making a move to get Asik. Still think he stays with Minnesota but if they lose him there is a gaping hole in the middle.
