SliderParticipantSince the Rockets are going to sign with the Rockets. There are rumors saying that Josh Smith is going to the Rockets as well. Is there any chance the Rockets get Rajon Rondo as well? I say trade Asik, T. Jones, and a future 1st round pick to the Hawks for Josh Smith and trade Lin and 2014 1st round pick to Celtics for Rajon Rondo.

DoubleNickelsDurr55ParticipantRondo for Lin and a worthless 2014 first rounder not likely. I don’t like rondo and I wouldn’t pull that trade off.
The hawks sign n trade seems more possible depending on hawks though, that seems more likely.

GlenTaylorSucksParticipantI think the way this team is constructed, I think a trade for Ryan Anderson would be a better fit. I’d imagine it’d be something like Asik and Jones/Motiejunas for Anderson. This way, the Pelicans could make up for losing Lopez and get some depth/rising talent in the frontcourt in return. Also, A separate move involving Lin could take place to give the Rockets some depth.
The team would basically be identical to the one that brought Dwight to the Finals, except each of the pieces are better, and James Harden is better than any other player he had in Orlando supporting him. Josh Smith would be a splashier name, but I think Anderson’s skillset would better complement Dwight’s, plus Smith would be more expensive.

BasterdInABasketParticipantDefensively they’d be a terror. Not so much on offense, That would be three guys that don’t have a shot outside of 12 feet, clogging the lane for Harden who makes a living attacking the rim. Harden and Parsons would have to shoot 50+% from three to make that work. They don’t have the pieces to get all these guys anyways.

DoubleNickelsDurr55ParticipantHowever this is the NBA and splashier moves sell tickets.
Montejuenas is a stretch 4 I’d work to keep him and sign n trade for smith. Houston has plenty of shooters on that team, bring in smith, create another super team.
Definitely will be interesting going forward.

BigChamp12ParticipantI think Chauncy Billups would be great veteran leadership for that team and also another player that can shoot the 3 consistently.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantRumors are that we’re trading Omer Asik for Ryan Anderson.
New Orleans gets their defensive banger to pair alongside a more of a finesse guy in Davis while the Rockets get their stretch four for the next 5-7 years.
