Raef LaFrentzParticipantDude, that team is going to crush.. Or at least they should. Is there a good chance Lamb leads the Summer League in scoring?

Velvet HoopParticipantReggie Jackson
Jeremy Lamb
DeAndre Liggins <----- Starters Perry Jones III Daniel OrtonSteven Adams Andre Roberson <-------- Bench Grant JerrettRon Anderson Dwight Buycks (Summer League Legend) Kyle Kuric <-------- Undrafted FA's/Fills out roster Andrew Smith Michael Snaer Tony TaylorLooks like OKC is going to have a pretty impressive summer league team. I am glad they let Reggie go. Typically 3rd year guys don't go, but in this case, I think it is a great chance for Reggie and Lamb to play together and see how they play off of one another. Another interesting thing will be to see if they give the most minutes to Roberson/Adams or Orton/Liggins. I was surprised that Orton and Liggins are going as well and think that they will get the starting nod, but I am looking forward to seeing how the minutes are distributed.Looking for Lamb to take over these games. Perk said that he has been absolutely killing it this summer in scrimmages. He said that he has gotten a lot better and has been shooting lights out from 3.Also, Ron Anderson is huge. Kuric was decent at Lousiville, Andrew Smith the same at Butler, but I'm mostly excited about the addition of Snaer. I think he has the potential to be a rotation player at some point down the line. Maybe even the trendy new "3 and D" player that everyone talks about now. They play their first game on Sunday at 3. Get your popcorn ready!0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/05/2013 - 6:22am #813710

qDizzle32ParticipantDaniel Orton is garbage, no way he would start over Steven Adams as raw as he is.

Velvet HoopParticipantbut Orton has been with the program for a while and has more experience. Orton, Liggins, PJ3, and Lamb all spent significant time together in Tulsa with the D league squad this past season. My feeling is that they will keep that unit together.
Funny how you mention Orton being raw as the reason why Adams should be playing over him. Look, I love Adams more than most (fine I have a severe kiwi man crush on him) and wanted OKC to draft him all along, but even I will admit that he is as raw as they come and at least one season away from really being productive for the Thunder.
So while Orton might not be very good, he certainly is not as raw as Adams is right now.
If Adams starts, I think it is more likely due to the fact that they just used the 12th pick to obtain him, and they want to see what they have.

CynthiaParticipantOrton is only on the Thunder because he’s a homer, he went to high school at Bishop McGuinness in Oklahoma City. Kind of like how when they first moved to OKC they picked up Desmond Mason even though he was far beyond his prime, because he went to college at OSU.

OaktownWarriorsParticipantThe OKC roster looks good, but keep in mind. The unsigned dudes are not only playing for a roster spot on OKC, but other NBA teams. I agree that Orton is a total 1st round bust. He looked lost in college. Orton should’ve stayed 8 yrs in college!

Sharp ShooterParticipantlmao at calling Dwight Buycks a summer league legend

Velvet HoopParticipantLegend was a bit much. I am prone to exaggerate. He did go for 22 and 5 against Brooklyn last year though… I know, it is summer league.

SubZeroParticipantI’m really glad we have a shot at Kyle Kuric and especially Michael Snaer. Not saying Kuric will be much but I just loved watching him in college and Snaer can be a smaller Sefolosha and potentially get big minutes if he plays like he is able to play.
