trust me I praise change and looking forward past the bad but if there is a holiday celebrated every year that reminds you of the detrimental things America has done morally to get where it is, then I can not celebrate this holiday year after year. Maybe it is time to eliminate this day and change the name. To be clear the civil war was about slavery but the significant sneaky point leading to the war was money. You see men in power if they can not profit from something they cast it out. the south wasn’t having the north trying to tell them how to go about treating their slaves which would messing up their money that is why they succeeded from the rest of America. If slaves masters only cared about lounging around while their slaves did all their work for free just having a unconditional good laugh at the expense of the slaves without a profit the south would never have succeeded. Have you ever heard money rules the world well it does and after the north won the war everybody realized they would gain more money if they came together stopped feuding the north and the south and they could still hate blacks all the same. I know you must have read have black were promised 40 acres and a mule which they never got. I know you have read how sharecropping allowed such a better life of working for measily change still living under shacks on the land of old slave masters, renting from the old slave masters who still treated them like slaves.
