For some reason, I thought B-Mac and Tyreke would fit nicely together. One is a ball-dominant slasher while the other is an off-ball shooter.

Just thought they’d fit well together.

Exactly my thinking. I would hate it if the Kings simply let Tyreke get away for nothing at all, if they do not match to keep him then at least leverage someone away from the Pelicans.

Should the Kings match the offer by New Orleans????

If I Kings shouldn’t match it cause you got too many guards on the roster. I think he will be pretty good fit with Pelicans (i got to usually say that) but it’s downside to this they to many guards too. If they do sign Tyreke Pelicans have to choice get rid of Eric Gordon now the good about is that he will be another ball-handler, slasher and scorer plus he need a change too we’ll see happen with this situation.

Kings might be the worst run team in the league. But I like the combo of B-Mac and Tyreke.

I’m still worried its 50/50 to me Sac could just match at the last minute out of nowhere but I hope they don’t. If we get Big Reke (That’s what I’m calling him) its time to look at offers for both Vasquez and Lopez. Vasquez may go to Sac in a sign-n-trade but I would look for a late first round pick for Lopez or Vasquez either to Indy or ATL who owns Brooklyn’s pick both should be in the 20’s. Go Pelicans

I think Sac wants to get better. I think there are ways to get better without signing Tyreke. But they need to come away with something in this FA class.

It’s also very telling that Iguodala seemed like he wasn’t all in and they pulled the off. With that kind of approach, I doubt they’ll wanna match the contract for a guy who’s publicly said he doesn’t want to go back there.

See, that’s why I hate national media. Tyreke and his brother/agent went out of their way to refute that report on Twitter. Local Sac media who actually are around Tyreke’s family and camp have been unanimously consistent in saying that he’d prefer to remain a King. He’s been invited to many Kings event since the new ownership has taken place, and only when FA negotiations were nearing, did his agent have him cancel participation with the franchise’s draft party. Telling, though, that they wanted him there. He also JUST purchased a home in Rocklin, a Sacramento suburb, last month. He’s hosting a basketball camp throughout the summer here as well.

He’s been outspokenly supportive of the city and fans throughout his tenure, and by all accounts has established great rapport with new coach Mike Malone.

But suddenly a single national report surfaces that he definitely wants out? Sounds like either a plant from a Pelican official, or just some gossip to generate page views. Either way, so tired of dealing with this ish.

The national narrative throughout most of the Kings relocation saga was just as poor.

I think the issue was he doesn’t want to play as a SF. Anywhere.

Yeah, everyone couldn’t have said it better…

then a day later the Kings concede and trade Evans to the Pelicans. Must have REALLLY wanted to be there.
