It has been reported that the Denver Nuggets were reluctant to match the $14 million dollars per year offer that the Kings were offering Andre Iguodala, and he was hesitant to accept the deal that would make him a Sacramento King, and so the Kings have reportedly bailed on trying to sign Iggy.

Interesting move. Does this mean that Denver will get him back, or will somebody else search deeper into their pockets and offer him a lucrative offer that he can’t pass up? Only time will tell. What do you guys think?

I think he simply didn’t want to play in Sacramento. I think he wants to go to a proven contender and I don’t think one will give him that much. He can either compete for a lower price or sign with the Pistons and hope they can make a run in the playoffs.

This isn’t the Kings front office of old. These guys aren’t out to fuck around, they are out to win. At the first sign of someone not being all in, they bailed.

Final thought on the Iggy shuffle: don’t agree that Kings look bad here. Better to avoid mistake now if you get the sense a guy isn’t all in.

The Kings are upset that Iggy basically used them to get a high offer. He didn’t want to be a King and when he wouldn’t commit they didn’t want to tie up money when they could go after someone else. The Kings did not bail… they simply moved on.

I think that’s too much money to pay Iggy. I actually think it would be a good fit and a good guy to have in the locker room for the Kings. If Evans leaves town then that’s an ideal small forward that could make this team at least compete for a playoff spot. Bmac, Cousins, Thompson, and Iggy would cover sg through C but idk what they would do for a pg. I don’t feel Thomas is the starter they want for the future so I think that’s a bigger need to address. I think Iggy wants to be on a contender now being that he is getting close to 30 and his window is closing on him.
