The Scare Crow RisesParticipantWho do we hire as Head Coach???
Are George Karl or Lionel Hollins too old/experienced/expensive to be part of a rebuild???
We do we do with Evan Turner???
Do we start him at Pg, Sg or Sf this season???
Can he be part of our core going forward???
Do we trade Thad Young now that he’s the highest paid 76er???
Is Thad a part of the Team’s longterm plans???
When is the earliest we can expect to see Nerlens Noel back on a basketball court???
Does Noel really need to weigh more than 230 pounds to be effective at the Pf/C spot in the modern NBA???
Can MCW become the best Pg in this draft class if he developes a consistant jump shot???
With a young core of Carter-Williams, Turner and Noel, which Prospects make the most sense in 2014???
Wiggins/Parker/Randle or other???

YES
let him go after contract expires
SG
NO
I’f someone will take him, then yes
December
230 is fine for a PF, needs to add more if he wants to play C
Probably not, I still like Burke and Schroeder more
Wiggins

Keep Turner and let him start at the SG…I think that he can be part of your core group…
I like Young…But maybe you should see what you can get for him…don’t actively shop him around but just through the idea around and see what you hear back…
Don’t put a time table on Noel…just let him get health and come back when he is ready…you guys are going to be bad this year anyway…so why rush him back…
If MCW can hit that jump shot he can be a really good…but I don’t think that he is going to be the best guard in this class…
If you guys get the number 1 pick you take Wiggins…but if not you guys should just take the best player cause this draft is going to be a good one…

8. 2014.
9. Did you see what happened to AD?
10. He could be pretty good, but Burke will be the best from this crop.
11. Are you really asking this question?

B FreeParticipantIt depends on where they are picking, If they are picking at lets say 5 than those three guys will be gone and they can then look to finding a true center and I would say pairing Nerlens and AJ Hammons would be a very great front court of the future. I am actually really surprised he doesn’t get much love on here. I also think they will need to trade Thad for sure and maybe even Turner only because you can’t have a both PG and SG who can’t shoot they will need a scorer opposite Carter-Williams.

RUDEBOY_ParticipantI’ve heard alot of people say with the Holiday trade, that means they’re thinking about rebuilding..And Bynum returning might be Slim…I did hear the GM say Bynum is like any other of the 1000s of free agents out there……

hubhubParticipantThey’re rebuilding, thats for sure. I am content with it as a 76ers. I’am a big fan of Jrue Holiday and I’m happy for him because Pelicans are a good fit for him ( especially with Monty Williams as a head coach ). Sixers a mediocore team and they werent going nowhere further with this core than barely making the playoffs. It’s obvious now that they won’t pay Bynum which also I am a fan of. We took that risk a year ago. I dont what to spend another year scratching my head while seeing this guys new haircut. He’s a great talent, probably highest upside of all centers but his head and work ethic are far behind his talent.
Now they’re starting their rebuild in the best possible time – before a very strong 2014 nba draft.
With this roster for me it’s a top 5 pick for sure. Top 5 in 2014 draft means an all star talent. With a little bit of luck they can get Wiggins or Parker. It look like Hinkie will try to move Turner and Young for some picks and expiring contracts. In a year from they can have MCW ( a pass first point guard with nice vision, good ball handling skills and a jump shot which will improve because the it look very fine, repetition is what he need, for me his jump shot is better than Jrue’s in the time when he got to Philly ), Noel ( if he doesn’t develop his offensive game he is completely capable of playing in a Tyson Chandler role ), Wiggins or Parker, another lottery player ( from the Pelicans pick ) and tons of cap space. It will take time but I finally feel like the 76ers are going in the right direction. Can’t wait till 2014 draft.0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/30/2013 - 1:36pm #809978

hubhubParticipantI forgot about the questions:
1) Head Coach?
I know that he signed with the Bobcats as an assistant but I would like to see Ewing as a head coach.
He deserves a chance and he would be a good coach to develop Noels offensive game for sure.
Karl or Hollins won’t coach them, zero chance.
2) Turner?
For me, Hinkie should trade him. He will demand a new contract with a raise of payroll after next season and after watching him for 3 seasons I think the 76ers should move one without him. I dont see him as a good fit to MCW
3) Thad?
Thad is great but this team will struggle in the next year or two and I dont really see purpose in keeping him. If Utah will sign Jefferson or Millsap maybe Kanter will be availble. For me he’s a great fit next to Noel and I would like to see him in a 76ers uniform. Turner and Young for Kanter? May help both teams
4) Noel?
Noel needs to bulk up but no hurry. The main thing is he has to fully recover. Philadelphia is a great sitiuation for him because he has all the time he needs to recover and forget about the injury.
5) MCW ?
I really like MCW stroke. I’m sure that in a year or two he will be a reliable 3-point shooter. He just needs repetiton.
6) 2014 draft?
For me Wiggins or Parker. I think that Randle is a step behind them. I’m sure that you can build a team around Wiggins or Parker. I don’t have that confidence in Randle yet, next year will tell a lot.0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/30/2013 - 1:55pm #810059

WITNESS2014ParticipantI would trade Evan Turner and Young. Looks like they are in complete rebuild mode with already trading their best player for a player in Noel that they are going to have to wait a few years to be ready. Neither Turner or Young are good shooters so having them with Noel/ MCW doesnt fit. Trade them for 2014 picks if they can or 2015. If not trading for picks then get young players who will be cheaper and better fit the system you play on having for the future.

Ghost01ParticipantI’m getting increasingly annoyed with everyone praising trades/moves by saying this “will work if we get Wiggins/Parker”. Two teams are going to get Wiggins/Parker. The teams that were really really bad last year, like Charlotte and Orlando, are once again going to be really really bad. The 76ers trading away there best player for a shot-blocker project who was falling in this draft for a reason isn’t smart because it will lead to them being bad next year. I just don’t get how you trade a guy, who was already good in the NBA and is only 23, for some guy who might be good in the NBA, and a draft pick. I get rebuilding. I get that people want to believe their team is going to get Wiggins. But slightly increasing the odds of winning a lottery that is completely random doesn’t mean trading good players for unknown players is smart. It’s not.
