drk3351ParticipantI don’t know about you guys but from all the trades to the shock of Bennett going #1, I thought it was a really fun draft. I loved seeing Utah get Trey Burke and also I did think Detroit did the correct thing and got KCP. Also David Stern’s interaction with the crowd and how they booed Silver when he came on. Also to see some guys I wanted to get drafted, get drafted. Carrick Felix, Raul Neto, Colton Iverson, and Janis Timma.
On a side note anyone else love what Memphis did?
Franklin at 41
and 2 late draft and stash guy Lauvergne and Timma?
We’ll see how those 3 turn out.0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/27/2013 - 7:12pm #808007

Wavy BagelsParticipantFor a draft that was considered mid-level quality, it was entertaining. The fans turning on Adam Silver was WWE-storyline at its finest.

JordoParticipantFrom Bennett going #1, to Holiday getting traded, to Burke going to Utah, to Bazz landing in Minny this draft was very entertaining.

aramboneParticipantI’m a Boston fan and I loved everything that happened. Olynyk was my binky the past 2-3 weeks, and we got him. He and Sully will just surprise people with hard work, elite smarts, and super versatile offensive games. Both can score from anywhere and both are great passers. Even better when the celtics make the playoffs again in the half court game.
I love the nets trade! Danny even managed to get rights to swap 1st round picks in ’17.
Nets are overrated with zero depth. 80 million dollar tax bill this year, lol. Even a billionaire won’t pay that every year. I think the russian is running for president in russia, and wants a quick feather in his cap. Sooo much money tied up in dwill, jjohnson, and lopez.Overall great, great day. A rebuild done right, like ripping off a bandaid.

Sewok15ParticipantGerald Wallace is owed 30+ million for the next 3 years…not exactly a picture perfect way to rebuild in my mind…mix that with a bunch of 20th overall selections and you have a mediocre team at best.
The Sixers rebuild effort will go much smoother than their Atlantic Division Rivals the Celtics.

King CaluchaParticipantNets have no defense, KG and PP only have maximum a couple of years at a really high level, that probably means that Nets 2016 and 2018 1st may be in the lotto.

Sewok15ParticipantI loved Memphis getting Franklin that low. I had him ranked in my top 15 players in the draft….it makes me think he possibly had some off the court issues that led him to drop outside of the 1st round.

jeff416ParticipantMemphis traded Lauvergne and Darrell Arthur to Denver for Kosta Koufos, which I really think is a great deal for the Grizz. Arthur was never really the same after he had been injured and was holding back Ed Davis. Meanwhile, they get a good player in Koufos and fill a need in getting a legit backup center behind Gasol.
I also loved the Franklin pick. While they needed a shooter, I have always been with the mentality that you draft the best player available, no matter the need. Besides, I don’t think any shooter left would even be capable of earning minutes for the Grizzlies next season at that spot. Franklin was a huge steal at 41 imo. I’m pretty surprised he didn’t go first round. Cant wait to see him and Tony Wroten in summer league together.

King CaluchaParticipantIt was funny how every other pick I’d scream “no way!” at the screen, because it was so unpredictable. I really enjoyed this draft.
