KayjayParticipantMarc Stein reports…
“The Sacramento Kings are looking to acquire a second first-round pick and are using guard Jimmer Fredette as bait. Sources say the Kings have reached out to a number of teams in the mid-to-late first round in an attempt to secure another pick. Both the Indiana Pacers and Utah Jazz are potential destinations for Jimmer. Kings coach Mike Malone is enamored with both Tim Hardaway Jr. and Tony Snell, but the Kings feel that they can get them much lower in the draft.”

I’d rather get rid of thornton, but I’d make my peace with at least getting rid of one of our plethora of guards.

qDizzle32ParticipantAs a Kings fan, I don’t believe that he will have much value and I would be surpised if the Jazz are willing to give up the 21st pick or the Pacers would be giving up the 23rd pick for Jimmer. I was really excited when the Kings picked him but he never ended up being anywhere near his expectations. First of all, he never was any good at defense. You would think he can come off the bench and shoot to save your team, but he has terrible field goal percentages. The best I could ever see him being is another Eddie House if he could some how be more consistent with his scoring. As much as I loved watching him at BYU, I don’t know if the NBA will even be for him.

jjbutler73ParticipantHe shot 42% on 3’s. How many people are better. Career 40%FG, 38% 3’s, 85% FT. Critique his defense if you want, very few players can shoot like that.

Memphis MadnessParticipantWhat about the Thunder at 29? With the 12th pick they will go big and they also have the 32nd pick.
While Russell Westbrook recuperating they can use Jimmer as a shooter and backup point guard off the bench. Right now they just have Reggie Jackson at the point and they need more help. They can also use more shooting and Jimmer would help there.
Jimmer is also more experienced than a guy like Nate Wolters.
It’s something the Thunder should think about…

RUDEBOY_ParticipantIn the right situation Jimmer could flourish..And become a 12 to 14 pt player off the bench…..I would love to see Memphis try to acquire him….

thunderjerkParticipantBeing on the Jazz would be a huuuuuuuuuuge distraction to both him and the team.
