Thunder trying to snag first pick?

Zeller will go between 7 and 12. He is not one of the clear top 6 players(noel, oladipo, len, mcclemore, bennett, porter). Zeller would be a great fit next to Ibaka, I think they should do what they can to get to move up to get him.

I don’t care much for hype, Zeller was more productive, has higher potential, and is a better fit for OKC. Len is not worth someone like Lamb which is probably who the Cavs would want. Thunder will be better off to snag something low-mid lottery and get Zeller for PJ3 and 1-2 of the other picks.

They need to draft depth that can score when kd or russ is on the bench and mainly aim for a established center like gortat of osik.
When they amnesty perkins or toss him in a deal for a seond round pick down the road. They can clearly wipe off his contract instead of amnesty.
It’s annoying that they have so much talent but believe perkins is going to be their center for a championship team. Perkins has a pretty big contract for someone undersized and heavily over paid.

Sacramento would trade Jimmer and 7 to OKC for 12 and 29 or 12 and PJ3?

Not that I think Jimmer is great, but I’ve heard that the Kings are shopping him. Maybe the combination of taking him off their hands plus the inclusion of PJ3 or a package of picks might be enough to persuade them?

Plus the wouldn’t take Zeller first anyway. The NBA drafts out of where you are slotted too much. They would end up taking Noel and Noel is too much like Ibaka in my opinion. But the main reason is that I am not ready to give up on Lamb yet. He would be a 5-8 pick in this year’s draft and here is a link for his stats from last years summer league.

I remember watching his games last summer and being very impressed with him. And this was before I knew that OKC had a chance to acquire him. His 3 point shooting was lower than I thought it was, but there is no question that the kid can shoot and score. Can he play d though? That is the question that everyone asks. Kevin Martin was a terrible defender and no one seems to talk about that. K Martin is a pro in every sense of the word and I guess provided veteran leadership, but I feel like Lamb can replicate what he brought to the table offensively, only he is more athletic and younger, with a much lower pricetag. Although he probably won’t be quite as efficient with his percentages right away though. This years summer league is going to be his chance to prove he is ready to take Martin’s spot.

I’d much rather have Mayo than Marion. I really like Marion but he won’t be able to get 30mpg with Durant & Ibaka covering the 3 & 4. Marion with 6th man minutes won’t equal a lot of scoring production, he needs minutes to get his stats.

the baller formerly known as Matrix will earn 9,066,796 in ’13-’14. I think it is unlikely that the Thunder are willing to take on that kind of additional salary, even though he would be an UFA in ’14-’15.

I think the Thunder need to get another established vet or two. Someone tough who can provide some minutes at multiple positions. The young talent is nice but every year the Thunder are running into the problem of having to resign or trade guys. What kind of money will Reggie Jackson want if he keeps improving. Lamb could be a stud. What will he want? A team trying to win a championship shouldn’t have to rely on 3-4 young guys giving the quality minutes.
