    http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/boston-celtics-doc-rivers-tried-to-fight-rajon-rondo-los-angeles-clippers-062213

Chris Sheridan is reporting another reason why Rivers wants out of Boston — and it has more than a little to do with Rajon Rondo, the Celtics’ fiery point guard.

Rondo and Rivers have had their ups and downs over the years, and things reportedly came to a head this past season when Rondo dropped an F-bomb on his coach during a team meeting. Rivers apparently lost his cool and had to be restrained from physically fighting the 27-year-old.

Media… is retarded. Blow everything out of proportion. And often times they lie.

I felt the same way when reading about this on all the media sites. That is why I didn’t copy and paste any of the titles of this story when I looked it up.

Where there’s smoke there’s usually fire… and there’s been quite a bit of smoke over the years. It can’t all be rumors imo.

I question that’s why Doc left because he and Rondo always went at it. We do know that this is for sure why Ray Allen left, so there is definitely a lot of smoke.

I question how big a deal it is really because Ainge is presumably giving the team to Rondo. Doc is gone (maybe because of Rondo), Ray left (definitely because of Rondo) and he is trying to trade Pierce and Garnet. Rondo will have the only true voice in the locker room. Bradley and Green are church mice and they may get Deandre Jordan, who is a jovial fun guy, not a leader at all.

Why would Ainge give Rondo the only set of keys to one of the most storied franchises in all of sports. Maybe this is why Bledsoe was the ultimate deal breaker in talks and Ainge was going to ship Rondo out as well, either that or make him the undisputed Celtic leader.

I felt the story was blown out of proportions in majority of the sites. I’m skeptical of Doc actually trying to fight Rondo. He likely was trying to get in his face. The other thing is supossely this incident played a huge role in Doc leaving. Doc was willing and wanted to stay with the Celtics, but him and Ainge both have talked about this and knew this course of action is best for the organization going forward.

I know about him and Ray not liking each other. However, what other issues have there been with him and teammates ?

He’s a hack. He’s more TMZ than sports reporting and he does neither well. Also highly doubt that a simple F-bomb set Doc off, especially since he deals with Rondo every day. Would have to guess that although Rondo is probably tough to be around, this did not happen to the extent that is being reported and/or was not the reason why Doc was trying to leave.

I can’t trust the media. I read something the other day where they quoted Duncan after he got asked whether he was thinking about retiring. I watched that interview and his response was completely different then what was reported. In fact the article took different segments of what Tony Parker had said and used i as Duncan’s words.

Loves Rondo. Rondo is a great teamate. Fact. Ride or die anything for the team. Definately has a chip on his shoulder and that’s why he is the best PG alive currently playing. He is a monster in the playoffs. Him and Tony Parker get it done playoff time. I felt we loss to Miami twice in playoffs due to bad coaching. I watched so many games where Doc and his stubborn approach cost the C’s games the last two years. Doc draws up good plays for quick scores though. He does that well. He is a players coach guys like him.

Thank you, someone who isn’t trying to throw Rondo under the bus. Rondo wants to win, and will stop at nothing to achieve that goal. He believes in teamwork and camaraderie, and when he sees a player like Allen or a coach like Doc try to break either of those two, you know something is going to happen. Just take away the business side of basketball for a moment, and suddenly none of Rondo’s mishaps look too bad. His coach just left him, one of his team mates left to a rival team…I’d be upset too, even more so after coming into the league with these guys and their Ubuntu mentality. Because so far, he’s the only one whose actually stayed loyal to the team.
