“I’m hearing McLemore bombed in Phoenix. N.O. has Gordon at #6 and like Burke. Would the Kings pass on a top 2 talent?”

SmooveKRYPTParticipantWas just about to mention this. Apparently he’s fallen out of the top 5 after really bad workouts in ORL & PHX. If he falls past 6 teams will start trying to trade up for him no doubt

PurpleMonkeyDishwasherParticipantI hope he bombs bad enough that the Timberwolves can get him 9th. It’s a pipe dream I know… but a guy can dream.

MJBrownParticipantCharlotte needs scoring and talent so badly, I’m just not sure how they could pass on him. That’s too bad that he had a tough workout in Orlando. It seemed like a great fit. It’ll be interesting to see who is next on their board

JayNDouglasParticipantBut they also need players in the post. Mullens and Biyombo don’t strike fear in the hearts of opponents. Noel or Len would help.

SpacegrassParticipantBobcats need everything! You can’t fix that team in one draft. They are 3-4 years away of smart drafting from being a legit playoff team.

MJBrownParticipantThat’s right. The bobcats are so far removed right now, that in a draft without any star power, take the best available, find him a spot in your rotation, and hope to get Wiggins, next year, and go from there. I’d be happy slotting McLemore into the 2 spot there. Considering the fact that McLemore was considered a potential #1 before the envelopes were stuffed, Charlotte could feel like they maybe they got their #1 at #4

Apart of the deal, the Pelicans would get the 4th pick, from the Bobcats, and the Bobcats would also get the rights to Nikola Mirotic, from the Bulls. Everyone wins in this deal

AmiableBaller34ParticipantYeah, every team except CHA and NO. The Bulls get the two best players in the trade, while also getting rid of Boozer’s inflated contract…Sure. While I’m sure Chitown would love that trade, there is no way I see the other two teams taking on all that salary and low PER players. Keep dreaming

Lotto StudParticipantI would only think this helps Oladipo’s cause even more to move up. I’m plugging him in at #2.

RUDEBOY_ParticipantI still cant see him falling out of the top 5….
Alot of guys cant get motivated shooting ball in an empty gym ,day after day after day, then hopping on a plane and flying to another city for another workout…..Teams already know what they’re capable of doing on the court….

jaycee24ParticipantThis would be their 4th straight year with a steal slipping into their laps he’d be sick in Detroit!

CavFanPRParticipantThis is all a smoke screen to distract teams from something bigger. McLemore is a bust waiting to happen even if he doesn’t slip outta the top 10.

OhCanada-ParticipantJaycee just what I was thinking. Detroit just reels in talent with those mid lotto picks. They will probably get to choose from either Zeller, Mccollum, Noel, Shabazz, or Mclemore this year. A couple of those guys are bound to be available when they pick.

FritzParticipantJust a thought here but if you are the Phoenix Suns, and Mclemore had an amazing workout, why would you announce that? It was a reach that he even falls to 5. If you want a player to fall to you why would you hype him up so you can raise his stock out of your reach? To me, he could of had an okay or even a good workout in Phoenix. All this “Ben had a horrific workout could just be teams trying to lower his value in hopes he falls to them. Same goes for his workout in Orlando. I am not saying that he did not have a bad workout I am saying we dont really know because teams are publicizing in there best interest, not in the prospects interest.

mercyman25ParticipantI would bet PHX is putting out rumors so he drops to them. Oladipo is rising so fast the Suns need one of the top SGs to drop to them. As far as Orlando is concerned they may be making him look bad so they can justify drafting someone else. These are just my guesses.Sac can dream though.

Afactor4ParticipantI’m starting not to mind the lack of talent in this draft so much. It’s starting to get pretty exciting with all these reports. I don’t recall a draft in recent memory having so many clouds around its top 5 selections.

sportspolymathParticipantNBA General Managers often make mistakes like this, and it’s very funny. When you are evaluating talent, you need to watch the games. If you don’t and base it off of personal interviews and workouts, you will draft guys like Darko or Johny Flynn and others.
People say McLemore didn’t take over games at Kansas, yet the writers and analysts fail to realize that he was starting with 4 seniors, which is a lot different then playing with a team of underclassman at Kentucky or elsewhere.
McLemore can shoot it real well and is an excellent athlete. If you are going to base your draft opinion off of one workout, sorry but you are a moron.

machu46ParticipantYou realize it was film of Darko and Flynn that won people over in the first place right? It’s easy to look at how they’ve turned out and say that people just didn’t watch film on them, but Darko was regarded to be someone basically with the skillset of Dirk Nowitzki but a stronger body, and that was when he was 17 years old.
Flynn wow’ed a lot of people with his quickness and leadership/heart that he played with at Syracuse and iconic games like the 6OT game against UConn where he willed Syracuse to a huge win.
