He will be 36 next season but I think they will probably re-sign him. I just hope it’s not for too much money.

11.8 PPG on 42% shooting while missing 22 games.

Ginobili hasn’t been good for two seasons now.

12 turnovers the final 2 games of the finals, really? He actually should have had 20, but Green, Parker and Duncan jumped on them.

I hope for San Antonio fans he retires. He just isnt what he used to be, and to me the Spurs got to the Finals in spite of him, not because of him. He played pretty damn poorly this series, had me cringing every time he got the ball. He has his spurts, but he needs to be moved into a 10-15 minute role, or retire and maybe come back in a few years as an assistant coach, or just an aide for Coach Pop.

I’ve watched his turnovers several times now. Almost all of them were mental errors. Leaving your feet to make a pass?? Thats what Jamal Crawford did when he played for the Knicks.

He could play another year but he’s not worth the vet minimum.

And he’s still one of the biggest floppers in the league. Every other time he’d have the ball I was watching to see if he’d flop, or take 3 huge steps and travel, and half the time he did.

One of the flops he should be fined for when he barely touches Bosh, leaves his feet, falls down, and GETS THE CALL. I don’t know why a referee would ever give him a call after a full decade of ridiculous flops.

It seriously looked like he was paid off. I can understand getting old and losing a step but he was never a guy to make countless mental mistakes like that. They showed a stat yesterday that he was turning the ball over about 40% of the time he passed the ball on the pick and roll. Pop was playing him at backup PG which made no sense. Gary Neal at least wasn’t playing like his head was up his rear end. I never liked Ginobli but after this finals performance I despise him.

I thought/think the same thing. Wouldn’t be surprised if it turns out that he had gambling debts or something like that.

When you consider the type of competitor Manu is, I can’t see him going out like this. However, the Spurs might not re-sign him.

I think they should go after OJ Mayo.

I hope not. I hope Duncan isn’t done either. I know their chances of winning a championship all but flew out the window this year but I think they should retire on a happier note than this. They had their chances and let it slip away. Now if they were blown out by the Heat they may call it quits just based on not being able to keep up, but to get so close and lose has to sting and I think they will be hungry to try one more time.

You could just see the look on Duncans face after he missed that late basket that would have tied, he was beating himself up more than anyone else ever could. I don’t want that to be his last moment.
