FutureNBAGMParticipantI say Lebron goes for about 35, should be a classic. Hoping for the spurs but Im guessing Heat end up winning by 10.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantLeBron is the all-time leading scorer in game-7s at 33.8 PPG, how many does he score tonight?
Will we see another vintage-Ginobili performance?
Can Wade/LeBron mesh tonight?
Does Duncan have enough in the tank to pull out another game-6 performance?

nick5354ParticipantI am hoping for another classic like game 6, butI mean, seriously, I don;t think I can handle it. I almost smashed my laptop and decapitated my head via the roof fan I was jumping and yelling that much in game 6. Do want to see LBJ go big and have one of the greatest playoff games to win the championship in a classic game 7.

festar35ParticipantI wish he was a Pacer, however I can’t complain about Hill, just feel Leonard and George as a wing combo would be so intimidating.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantI brought this up a month ago. http://nbadraft.net/forum/kawhi-and-pacers
Main issue brought up was, would Kawhi Leonard have been this good if it wasn’t for Pop?
0- Posted on: Thu, 06/20/2013 - 4:00pm #801676

festar35ParticipantIt is an interesting subject. Can you have a lopsided trade that works well for both teams? How could is Kawhi going to be and did we see this sort of potential in him at draft time?
0- Posted on: Thu, 06/20/2013 - 4:24pm #801692

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantAnother lopsided trade that worked well was that Kwame Brown for Pau Gasol. The Grizzlies got a DPOY and the foundation to a very good team and the Lakers won two titles in three Finals appearances.

He is at his best when he gets to the paint and attracts other defenders. He did have 15 points and played good, but it’s game 7 where you can not hesitate and do what you do best.

IndianaBasketballParticipantI thought the Spurs’ role players would play well tonight, but they’ve been TRASH. Danny Green went from looking like a Finals MVP to looking like he should be playing for the Austin Toros.
I feel like the Heat got a lot of open three-point looks that went in and out. The Spurs are very lucky to only be down two.

NYK2010ParticipantGreen can’t do anything on offense outside of shooting 3s it seems.
Parker being aggressive but forcing it sometimes.
Duncan has been his usual great self, Ginobili has been okay.
Leonard solid off the glass needs to hit more shots.Spurs shooting only 35% but getting to the free throw line.
They will need more scoring to stay in this game.
I don’t agree with doubling leaving 3 pt shooters open or letting Wade, James such a big cushion.

The thing I love about them both at the defensive end is that they have long arms, have active hands and are always getting deflections.

Ghost01ParticipantLBJ was great, for sure.
What does suck for the Heat is because they won they have to keep Chris Bosh after that goose egg he shat tonight topped off one of the most pathetic post seasons I have ever seen from a star.

IndianaBasketballParticipantYea, Chris Bosh was garbage offensively, but he played very good defense. You have to give him some credit for that.
But yea… He’s been trash the entire post season to be honest.
0- Posted on: Thu, 06/20/2013 - 6:01pm #801966

Ghost01ParticipantHe played better against Duncan the last couple games for sure. But Duncan also put up very good numbers both games so it wasn’t like he was OUTSTANDING.
And for what, 20 mil every year for the next 3? Have FUNNN with that.

drk3351ParticipantYou mad bro?
0- Posted on: Thu, 06/20/2013 - 6:03pm #801972

Ghost01ParticipantNope.
LeBron was great, Spurs missed there chance in Game 6 and were outplayed tonight. Wade was good until the 4th, and the Heat’s role players like Anderson and Battier stepped up.
Bosh was f*cking terrible, and has been for most of these playoffs. That’s not being mad, that’s stating an obvious fact. If I was a Heat fan, I would want to trade him for any other All-Star level big man.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantDid you see the defense he played on Duncan? He didn’t shut him down but he made everything hell for him.
No way Andersen or Haslem could have done that.

Cavaliers420ParticipantMagic Johnson called it. If they didn’t win at 6 they weren’t going to win and he was right. Man if I feel this bad I can only imagine how Tim Duncan feels.
0- Posted on: Thu, 06/20/2013 - 6:56pm #802110

TallmanNYCParticipantWow, Magic “called it” on a 50/50 game where he picked the Home team and the favorite. I suspect most people had the Heat winning this game as well. So “calling it” really doesn’t warrant a shout out.
Everyone on the Spurs feels bad. They had game 6. But a two O-Rebs followed by two threes combined with two guys only hitting 50% of their free throws allowed a comeback. You could play those last 30 seconds over 100 times and the Heat wouldn’t win more than three or four of those games. But the reality we live in is one of those three or four games. Heat win.

Ghost01ParticipantEven in this game, getting 0 out of Parker and Green hurt.
The Heat’s stars stepped up, and for the Spurs to get basically nothing out of those guys its just too hard to win.

joe2324Participantvery classy by coach Popovich and the heat. I like how they congratulated either after the game. As much as I hate the heat and lebron, that moment made me proud. They showed respect for each other after the game. Great series. Spurs did everything they could, but too much Lebron.

Sewok15ParticipantI can’t believe Battier was so big…he wasn’t even in the rotation earlier in the series. I am a Duke hater and was talking mad crap on him so it is only fitting that he goes off in game 7.
I am pretty confident Ginobli was paid off. I have never seen him play as badly as he did the last 2 games. He shot the ball decently tonight but he was just a turnover machine. He had 12 TOs in the last two games. They would have been better with T-Mac or Bonner playing. I would retire out of shame if I were him.

PistonsFan22ParticipantGreat game. Kawhi Leonard was incredible. Loved him already, now love him even more after seeing how much heart he showed in this series and especially this game. He missed a key free throw last night and everyone was wondering how he would respond. Well he responded by being the best player for the Spurs in a game 7.The kid is special. Congrats to the Spurs on a hard fought series. I don’t like them because they ripped out my soul against the Pistons in 2005 but I’ve always had a ton of respect for them.
Congrats to the Heat, they are one of the most hated teams in the NBA but they played like champions. Some people will say the Spurs blew the series but you have to admire a team that doesn’t give up even when they have their own fans leaving the building. Sit back and enjoy Lebron James for the years ahead, I know you may hate this guy but players like this don’t come around often.

NYK2010ParticipantLebron was great which I expected but what do you expect when he gets open jumpers and 3s. Best player in the game and he beats you on open jumpers thats a joke. Make it drive it to the rim or even get in the post they did nothing but throw the same weak defense on him. Then on switches he has Duncan on him not sure what Pop was thinking but he was terrible. When they doubled they left Battier open who was hot.
Spoelstra clearly outcoached Pop the last 2 games. Mike Miller was cold this game and you didn’t see him play in crunch time meanwhile Danny Green was ice cold and he’s getting huge minutes even though he can’t even dribble w/out turning it over. I honestly feel if the Spurs had another perimeter player who could create shots or break down the defense they would’ve won Game 6 or 7 but they didn’t. Why because during the 4th qtr when the Spurs offense went cold they gave up that 10 pt. lead the offense was stagnant and that plus the last minute cost them the game.
