Tim49461ParticipantAlot of rumors from espn, and people saying that they will draft big with grabbing Mullens or Hasheem. My question is why, do they not like Kevin love already? and if they do draft a big Do you think they trade Kevin love?

maravich44ParticipantJefferson and Love are a pretty good pair in the frontcourt. This would be a good year for them to get a stud guard and wing player.

Knicksboy34ParticipantThey have no true Center.

Wizards034ParticipantI think Thabeet and AL jefferson make a good PF and Center duo. They still like kevin who had a nice rookie season for them but it has nothing to do with him they just need the 7-3 size shot blocker and rebounder.

Michael.S.Participantlove and jeff are both power forwards

maravich44ParticipantThey do not, but have 2 bigs that can play together. I think they can get by without true center because of rebounding ability of both players. Chicago does the same thing with Tyrus Thomas and Noah. Wolves will get more offense form Jefferson and Love and not sacrifice any boards. They can have more good players on the court if they go without a true center and who in the draft is a true center who could help them win games other than Thabeet. If they could get him, it would be a different story.

Knicksboy34ParticipantNo, niether of them are Centers. You need a C and if you can add a Thabeet, it’s a improvement to your frontline and your bench.

Evans is going two be the 6 pick0 - Posted on: Sat, 06/13/2009 - 5:04pm #163494
The MantisParticipantThey can go small at 6 and go for a big at 18. Jefferson and Love are great, but they need depth behind them.

mikeyvthedonParticipantAl Jefferson and Kevin are both solid, but they are a defensive nightmare playing 5 and 4. Just not at all optimum, and I as much as I loved watching Kevin play in high school and think he is a great player, that OJ Mayo trade was pretty awful. Also, now that Al Jefferson had his bout with injury, it makes it even worse, as Kevin is an injury waiting to happen. I hate forecasting players getting hurt, and it is never how you want to see things go down, but for all the people saying Oden is going to be injured his whole career, Kevin has even more likelihood of this happening, as it was a reason why many teams (other than McHale-asota) were terrified of drafting him. I think Minnesota is a team without an identity, and as much as they really need a center or defense oriented post player (as all of their current posts are either small or defensive liabilities, as a matter of fact, scratch the word post and put team), this draft is not the place to find a player that fits their needs. I would say maybe Mullens at 18 or 28, but again, he is a major project and their will be better players available. I think they have PF covered, and I think they still have faith in Foye to maybe do something, but every other position on the team is up for grabs. Mike Miller was woefully disappointing last season and Bassy is not a good starting PG. Rodney Carney started playing alright, but he is still best kept as a role player off the bench. Ryan Gomes is not bad, and they are not going to get a better wing than him in this draft, but he is not at all a long term answer. As great as Al Jeff has been since he has gotten their, and as much as Kevin might improve on his first year, this team is still a bottom feeder without significant reconstruction. The current GM said it would take 17 months, well, I think he is going to need a lot longer than that.

Ch13f23Participanti think wolves needs some one that could compliment the game of AL and Love some one who’s a wing player. But if Thabeet is available at 6 they should probably take him. but if not i’m seeing their gonna pick probably evans then at 18th pick draft mullens or a true PG. or they should just make a trade to acquire a Big or a PG.

kobyzParticipanti think Jordan Hill will be a no brainer for them if he fall to six, thay must have a mobile and athletic big man who can be a good defender, guard quicker bigs and block shots – Jordan Hill is just that and he also talented on the offense.
i think the combination of Al Jefferson and Kevin Love is not so good, the combination of Al Jefferson and Jordan Hill could be great and then make Kevin Love a six man.
with the 18 they could thak a guard – maybe Jrue Holiday.0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/14/2009 - 4:37am #163663
MasrockI wouldn’t mind seeing Love get traded. I really like him, but everyone knows we were wrong to trade Mayo. Some one said on here that McHale saw a lot of himself in Love, and I think that’s accurate. I think a deal with Memphis and the 2nd pick would be perfect.
