KevinDurantRocksParticipantWhy at the begining of the year this draft site said Damion James the guy from Texas was a top 10 pick and now he is 23?
0 - Posted on: Sat, 06/13/2009 - 1:14pm #163223

Thunder09Participantand now He is Gonna be on Next Years Top 10 list. I think goin back to Texas will be great for James.

Tha King2121ParticipantI dont see him going 2nd pick in the draft next year.
I know he was great in High School. But if your only

Tim49461ParticipantI think next year will be the year PF.
With PF’s like
Sidney
Cousins
Brackin
Cole Aldrich
Davis
Dontas
Favors. List goes onBut some surprise people i think people really need to look for this coming year
Kalin Lucas…I think he will be the number 2 PG taken if he comes out.
Kemba Walker..This is his team and people were amazed with him last year. watch out
James Anderson- was suppose to be his break out year this year. but no one really saw himI’ll stop there so this isnt to long

Knicks11203Participantshould the ny knicks trade for a high lottery pick next year and get john wall instead and draft some body like derozan now?
0 - Posted on: Sat, 06/13/2009 - 2:20pm #163305
Tim49461ParticipantThere is no way they can get that high enough of a pick to ensure john Wall…inless John gets hurt or sucks it up horriblely he is going #1
0 - Posted on: Sat, 06/13/2009 - 2:39pm #163330
Tim49461Participantjust a little bit of a difference tho.. it is the lottery not like it is fixed(…….). it is to much of a risk for one player
0 - Posted on: Sat, 06/13/2009 - 2:46pm #163335
Knicks11203Participantone player but he can be the face of the knicks franchise that is a risk anybody would take for a player of his caliber!
any opinions?
derozan and wall tell me that not 45 games won and dont forget next season!0 - Posted on: Sat, 06/13/2009 - 2:57pm #163343
maravich44ParticipantEd Davis is in the same position as Marvin Williams was a few years ago. Similarities are amazing. I really think if a team is to suck, 2010 would be the year to do it. Draft class next year looks strongest in a while. Wall will be a stud and Kentucky might supply the lotto!
0 - Posted on: Sat, 06/13/2009 - 3:18pm #163365

knicksfreakParticipantI would trade our whole team for a chance at Wall. Problem is that everybody else knows about him too. Its very unlikely that any lottery team trades their 2010 pick.

futurenba23ParticipantJohn Wall- Derrick Rose with a more consistent jump shot
Derrick Favors- longer Amare Stoudemire
Ed David- Al Horford
Willie Warren- OJ Mayo w/out the hype
Al-Farouq Aminu- poor man’s Kevin Durant
Greg Monroe- Elton Brand
Patrick Patterson- Shawn Marion
David Ebanks- Danny Granger/Rudy Gay
DeMarcus Cousins- Andrew Bynum
Donatas Motiejunas- Dirk Nowitzki/Arvydas Sabonis
Paul George- James White
Cole Aldrich- Kevin Love/Joel Pryzbilla
Craig Brackins- Antawn Jamison0- Posted on: Sat, 06/13/2009 - 6:24pm #163559
ball4life66ParticipantGood comparisons but Derrick Rose has a more consistant jump shot than John Wall. Wall’s shot is horrible(nice form) from what I’ve watched.

ncballerI’ll take a stab at futurenba23’s list. Of the ones I have at least seen play.
John Wall- Derrick Rose meets Rajon Rondo (Wall is a baller but still has no consistancy on his jumpshot and needs to work on running a halfcourt set)
Derrick Favors- Amare Stoudemire
Ed David- Prime Ben Wallace meets Prime Jermaine O’neal
Willie Warren- Rodney Stuckey
Al-Farouq Aminu- Luol Deng
Greg Monroe- Josh McRoberts with more heart (Josh McRoberts with heart would have been one HECK of a player.)
Patrick Patterson- Carlos Boozer
David Ebanks- Rudy Gay
DeMarcus Cousins- Kendrick Perkins
Cole Aldrich- Taller Ben WallaceThat’s my best for right now. Take it for what it’s worth.

ball4life66ParticipantJohn Wall- Derrick Rose with a less consistent jump shot, but a little more athletic
Derrick Favors- Amare Stoudemire but more skilled
Ed Davis- Al Horford not as physical or ball handler(Horford can run the floor and make a good pass) but better shot blocker
Willie Warren- OJ Mayo w/out the hype
Al-Farouq Aminu- Loul Deng
Greg Monroe- Elton Brand
Patrick Patterson- Shawn Marion
Devin Ebanks- Danny Granger/Rudy Gay
DeMarcus Cousins- Andrew Bynum
Donatas Motiejunas- Dirk Nowitzki/Arvydas Sabonis
Paul George- James White
Cole Aldrich- Kevin Love
Craig Brackins- Antawn Jamison-1 points

jlaudioParticipantso far u guys have him as kevin love or a Taller Ben wallace???!!?!?!?!? first off hes got more height than love and he has better offensive skills right now than ben wallace has ever had in his career. my comparison for Cole Aldrich would be a young Pau gasol type but a little more physical on both sides of the ball but espicially on defense

deuce4offYou’re sick if you don’t think John Wall has some Dwayne Wade in his game. Watch some of his blocks and his body control in the air around the rim on offense when finishing, ala Wade…and if Wall develops the mid-range J, he will be Dwayne Wade. I would say though that aside from Wade, Rose and Rondo are pretty decent comparisons. I can’t see any way possible Wall turns into a bust so I guess worst case scenario for him is he turns into another Rondo, but that won’t happen.
