Mike Brown Rumors Not a Bad Thing for Cavs

I think the coaches are product of great players and great GMS. Brown is not an exception although some are.

who cares if he leaves or not, he doesnt do anything. everyone knows lebron makes the calls on that team. mikes just the dude with head coach under his name.

Auber, I agree. But I think Brown is a great Head Coach and could be a great coach on a young team.

My Question is : who would replace him?

I don’t think too highly of Mike Brown as a coach. He really seems to be just a big LeBron cheerleader in a suit. But if I’m Clevland, I do whatever I think would get LeBron to resign with the team 2010. If that means keeping Brown, so be it.

you have basicaly, summed up my belief of nba coaches. gms make the team but coaches get the credit when they win. when gms build crappy teams, coaches get the blame. coaches, to me , dont do anything but tell rookies how things go and call timeouts.

I think because He has LBJ, everyone thinks he’s a bad coach. I mean for what he has done, He is a former Spurs Coach. I think he would have been a perfect fit for a team with young players to develop and no superstars…..

I think he need to be replace. He reminds me of Avery Johnson, who had success with Dallas but could not get the best of his players and only cared about was defense. You can not be a one minded team and do not get the personal to play that. They preached Defense without having any strong interior players. Mike Brown is not the right coach of this team. They need a more balanced coach or a list a coach that will listen to his offensive minded peers. Celtics won because Doc Rivers listen to one of his assistants about defense. The same thing with Orlando and slowing down Kobe, SVG was wise to listen to Brendan Malone about some defensive plans. Orlando’s defense may still have issues but they have managed to keep Kobe from exploding for at least 2 games and that is not bad because both games were within their reach because of it.

Some Coaches can coach. I say this a coach coaches when the odds are down in the last few second. Any successful coach that can not do this is a by product of his players. Mike Brown does not bake adjustments and despite that one play that did not work like it was drawn up, he does make great late game offense plays that give his team the egde other than do what you do Lebron.

Well, I mean what makes a good NBA coach then? So is Phil Jackson overrated? Should Coaches Be in the Hall of Fame?

i don’t think hes gonna leave Miami just to coach Cleveland Cavs. if there’s any possibility of Riley coaching LBJ it could only happen if Heat Organization can pull something off the table that could land LBJ to their team. Especially in 2010 free agency.

i think the problem with getting rid of Mike James is that hes so tight with LeBron James and theyre afraid that if they bring in someone new and get rid of Mike theyre gunna have a problem retaining lebron which they wanna avoid at all costs. i think hes a pretty good coach though.
