PaulsJayhawksParticipantRaps need a better bench, they need to add a few tough vets and they could be pretty good next year.

Ghost01ParticipantIs there any doubt that they are about 10X better than Milwaukee right now? Normally, I’d feel like I’m overreacting to one nice half, but they’ve been playing lights out right now. Gay may not be efficient, but him and DeRozan are a nice duo on the wing. Then they have Amir Johnson, who is having such an underrated season, he’s been improving like crazy and now he’s hitting 3s, and on top of that, Valuncinias, who since getting healthy has been an absolute beast. Honestly not sure if Atlanta or Boston are better than them either. Chicago has lost twice to them in the past week, but I think in a 7 game series there defense would give them a better chance.
Bright future in Toronto, in this thin Eastern conference. Still need another piece or two to move up to the level of a definite playoff team.

bloodshyParticipantThe Raps look amazing when they have Gay and DeRozen shooting over 50%. Tonight Gay is 8-12 and DeRozen is 7-11. However, Gay’s fg% on the season is just .413 and DeRozen is just .440. Thus, they don’t usually play this efficiently – but when they do, watch out.
They do have a great young core and I think they’ll probably make the playoffs next year. However, the drubbing they’re laying on the Hawks right now is not, in my opinion, a clear picture of the relative skill of these two teams.

SeattleSuperChronicsParticipantRaptors will make the playoffs next year. I’m interested to see if Rudy Gay can turn into something special in Toronto.
But what’s really stood out is how bad Jonas Valincuinsis looks.

BouncyBallParticipantHow has jonas looked bad? Hes a rookie who just got 13pts on 4-5fg, 5-6ft along with 8rebs and 3 blocks

Malik-UniversalParticipanti wouldnt put any stock into this game…. for one.. its just one game and two the hawks arent even playing defense…there efforst is crap this game…. when damar derozen already made three 3 pointers and has 28 points in just 24 minutes… not taking anything away from him because hes a nice player… but the hawks are literally going thru the motions

Ghost01ParticipantSome people just don’t read what is written. I never said I am basing it off this half. They have now won 6 of 7, and generally have been pretty good since the trade. That is what I’m basing this on.
Atlanta basically got off to a hot start and has been .500 at best since then, so calling them overrated really isn’t a stretch.

bigmandinkyParticipantAs a huge raptors fan, I think all this team really needs is a couple of vets added to the second unit (particularly backup pg spot) in order to make a huge leap next year. It would to be awesome if we could sign a guy like Millsap, or even Tyreke Evans, but we’d have to clear some cap space to do that.

Mad MaxParticipantWashington is better than both currently imo

DolanCareParticipantThe Raptors do have a bright future. I think they have to make a move though. Obviously, Bargnani is done there, and they may have to think about moving Ross, Derozan or Gay. Ross still has high stock which could change if he fails to produce next year. Gay and Derozan occassionally play well together but for the most part they can step on each other’s toes.
