Vander Blue of Marquette has officially entered the NBA draft. That probably hurts Marquette next year, he was their best player.

I’d hesitate to say Blue is going to the NBA. I don’t think he’s a draftable player. He had a good yr and improved whatever stock that he had but he’s still an undersized SG with no PG skills and not a good outside shooter. A yr of improved shooting would’ve maybe helped him enough to be penciled into the 2nd round next yr.

I think Marquette will be fine as well. They’re returning some players, have a very good incoming class and Buzz Williams is an awesome coach. Someone else will step in and fill Blue’s shoes as a featured scorer. I think that will be Jamil Wilson.

Maybe he I’d just testing the waters I didn’t see him hire an agent plus he played pretty good in the tournament so thats the last thing people will remember about him until they watch more tape on him lol. As for Marquette I don’t really know a lot about their recruiting but I know buzz is a great coach they will always be tough and play really good defense and he always just seems to find guys that can play no matter where even juco… IMO he is one of the most underrated coaches in all of college basketball easily.

I like Vander Blue and his toughness, but he just benefited from being on a Marquette team that was not very talented at all. They were all decent players, no real studs or stars. As for Vander Blue, I dont see anything about him that says NBA. D League maybe, but not NBA player.
