Wow… this is absolutely incredible, Curry is only in his 4th year and is just 3 threes away (only fitting lol) from breaking Ray Allen’s record. Can’t believe he didn’t make it as an all-star this year even though he is clearly the heart and soul of the Warriors squad. It’s scary to think how many more three pointers he can make in following seasons. So long as he stays healthy he will become one of the most unguardable players in the league as long he keeps on improving since he can basically shoot from anywhere around the court (I noticed his dribbling has become phenomenal this season with a ton of ankle breaking highlights).

best shooter in the league. doesn’t matter if it’s off the dribble or off the catch. If he stays healthy (those ankles scare me) he will go down as one of the best shooters ever and has a chance to catch the all-time record for 3’s made in a career. His release is so damn quick and effortless.

Travesty that he didn’t make the all-star team this year. IMO he’s should be all-nba 3rd team this season. Kid is putting up great numbers and is leading the Warriors back into the playoffs where I think they have a real shot to beat the Spurs IF Tony Parker and Manu aren’t totally healthy.

He is shooting 45.5% from 3 while taking 7.6 a game, 7 assists, 4 rebounds and 23 points a game. He surpised me by being a top 15to 25 player. I thought he would be a good shooter and get like 15 a game at his peek, but he is an all time great shooter while leading the Warriors into the playoffs. He is shooting 44.7% from 3 for his career and that put him second all time behind steve kerr for career 3pt%.

Looking at his numbers, he definitely has the potential to go down as one of the greatest shooters that the NBA has seen. In just 4 seasons he is a CAREER 47% FG, 45% 3P, 90% FT shooter (182 total!). With the improved handles I can see his FG percentage cracking the 50% line next year. Other great shooters (career numbers):

    Larry Bird- 50% FG, 38% 3P, 89% FT (177)

    Steve Nash – 49% FG, 43% 3P, 90% FT (182)

    Ray Allen – 45% FG, 40% 3P, 89% FT (174)

    Reggie Miller – 47% FG, 40% 3P, 89% FT (176)

    Dirk Nowitzki – 48% FG, 38% 3P, 88% FT (174)

Not to be pedantic but isn’t he 2 three pointers away from breaking the record? He has 268 on the year, Allen had 269.
