MattHoopsParticipantCould Smart be a successful 2 guard in the league if paired with a Westbrook type? Imagine Smart with Westbrook. Smart is big enough to guard 2 guards and can allow Westbrook to move to the 2 from time to time?

Lotto StudParticipantIf Detroit can get in the Top 3, I would like him paired with Knight.

ilike.panochasParticipantSmart doesn’t shoot the ball well enough to compliment a PG like Westbrook. Smart’s best position is at PG, otherwise he would just be a defensive specialist SG (unless he develops as a jumpshooter).

bloodshyParticipantWhile Smart’s shooting percentages have been sketchy, he has solid mechanics. His bad % is primarily related to poor shot selection, which is a real issue with Smart. He also makes bad decisions as a facilitator. He needs a lot of reps to sharpen his decision making and smooth out his shot, which should happen since his mechanics are solid.
And Smart’s D and rebounding skills are unreal. He’s not just the best NCAA pg in these areas this year; he’s the best the NCAA has seen in these areas in years. Smart will be a very good NBA player and it will be as a pg. However, his stat lines may take a while to impress as he needs a lot of practice to smooth out his offensive fundamentals.
