    Your gonna see a lot of of big rising and falling according to their wingspan, if Steven Adams measures out to have a 7’4 wingspan he could go before Zeller if he measures 6’8, imo.
    Kelly Olynyk could really raise or drop his stock, if he has a 7’2 wingspan he will go lotto, if he has a 6’11/6’10 he drops.
    I could see Gobert rising because of his ridiculous wingspan and standing reach, depending how much he weighs, I could see the Bulls snatching him to have a 7’0 duo of French centers.

    A very valid point. In a Steven Adams thread the point was raised that his wingspan could affect where he goes in the draft. While on the other one reason Zeller is going as low as he is partly is due to his “T-rex arms”. A lot of Gobert’s hype comes from his unreal wingspan and as you mentioned Olynyk’s wingspan may change some teams mind on him one way of the other.

    One thing’s for sure, this year’s combine is gonna be interesting.

    I’m betting that 6′ 8″ Zeller wingspan measurement gets debunked. I know it is out there and at one point I think I even knew which camp it came from. But mistakes get made, numbers get entered incorrectly, especially since this was a high school level measurement.

    everybody know Gobert has unreal wongspan (7’9 …?!!!). What will make the difference at the combine for him should indeed be his strength, his agility and his speed.

    this draft is maybe weak but damn how many big men !!! Adams, Gobert ,Len, Noel (?), Zeller, Olynyk, Plumlee, Dieng, Withey, Nogeira, Jaiteh (?), Austin, McGary (?), Dedmon (?)

    That’s a long time we didn’t have a draft class with so much intriguing 5/4…

    I’m keeping a close eye on Isiah Austin (if he declares) and Rudy Gorbert. I could see Gorbert having a huge rise over the coming months especially if he has added some weight and shows more athleticism than expected. Austin, could sneak back into the late lottery as well. As far as skills go I’m not sure there’s a big man with his skill level in this draft. If he could add weight he could move up some to.

    Plumlee is going have the size to play minutes at center. He is still more of a power forward in my mind, but I think the combine is going to help him on so many levels. His wingspan isn’t huge but it’s probably around 7′, he’s put on weight and is probably close to 245 lbs and we all know about his athletic ability. People are going to see 6’11” 245 lbs he’ll hit the 12′ mark and he’ll be a 4/5 combo that a team will probably go top 10 to get.

      Plumlee brings stability to the team that gets him. He might not have what we call a high ceiling, regarding his potential, but he can definitely be a guy that will be in the league for 10 years averaging 8p-8r coming off the bench and bringing his energy and athletic ability. Though I would chose Adams first, I don’t know why but I see him and Gobert doing better at the combine (Noel will not participate I suppose, his injury is too serious). Especially for Adams, I can’t remember a prospect at 5 that came at 19 years of age with a body combination like this. I mean Dwight was a beast and cut as hell but only 6’10, Oden was 7ft and a difference maker on D but his body could not support him, etc. Steven has height, unique body type for his size and above average athleticism. I really can’t see the reason why he won’t dominate other big men. Of course we’ll have to wait and see, but as JYD said this draft is the most intriguing that we have seen in recent years, as long as big men are concerned, so we might be surprised and see Plumlee or another center (Len, Zeller) dominating and going higher in the draft.
