Memphis Tarik Black is Transfering from the school

To play a D1 sport and graduate in 3 years is serious

I really thought he would be a draftable prospect by now. He showed flashes as a Fr. that he could be a solid player.

I wonder what his major was. Must have not been too difficult.

Damn it. Memphis was going to be loaded next year. Now they lost their most versatile player to the draft and their only quality big on the bench is transferring.

I saw this before I went to class.

With our front line gone our only two bigs next year will be Shaq Goodwin and freshman Austin Nichols. Hippo Tfastsak is a red shirt guy and that
is pretty much it. No depth up front and no legit center.

Before these guys left I thought we were a Sweet 16 – Elite 8 team. Now? Not sure we will be any better than this year. Our conference schedule will be a lot tougher too.

If I were Tarik I would to to the best school possible, try to get to the Final Four, and work on an MBA (he already
has his undergrad).

Is Duke on Memphis’ schedule next year?

Wouldn’t that make the most sense if Duke really wanted to go for a title next year?
Cook and Thornton at the point. Sulaimon and Dawkins as 2-guards. They go either with 3 guards or with a front court with a pair of their collection of 6’7 to 6’9 forwards Hood/Parker/Jefferson/Hairston/Murphy, and then have protection from needing Marshall Plumlee to develop by having Black.
