nick5354ParticipantCan anyone fill me in on Rudy Gobert? He is still a massive mystery to me. All I really know about him is that he is from France and has monster wingspan haha.

FastAndFuriousParticipantAll, I’ve ever heard about him was that his wingspan is crazy long.

JunkYardDogParticipantwell…
he’s huge, has a good frame and should be able to add weight on his shoulders (contrary to Ajinca).
he has changed his diet recently to be stronger and hired a nutritionist.he has good instincts on D and showed some ability to defend the P&R very well… has difficulties to defend the post against enforcers but don’t jump too much on fakes (good sign).
he’s raw in O but has better hands than what I hear about sometimes, should be able to add an effective mid range shoot.
A nice overall prospect but who ‘ll need some playing time to develop and to become the defensive presence he has to turn into.

slepchorParticipantWell he is a freak of nature regarding his height (214cm) and wingspan (240cm), he has good hands and really excells at finishing above the rim. It is also noteworthy that he knows his position in the game (C) and he does not try to avoid physical contact, though he is relatively lean. When he reaches the ideal weight for his frame (around 250 max, if he wants his quickness to remain intact) and he is able to push opponents effectively, he will be a very good role player in the league. Of course we have to wait for the draft combine and see how he fares against other big men.

nick5354ParticipantInteresting. How about his instincts as a shot blocker? He has the height and length to blocks shot but is the instincts there and timing to make us of that wingspan?

For_Never_EverParticipantPhysically, I can barely tell Rudy Gobert and Alex Len apart other then one has longer arms. Len is likely the better offensive player, while Gobert is the better defender. It’s about even between the two athletically.

MalcolmxParticipantThis guy can hold the paint down by himself with those arms. Ive never seen a wingspan like that.

canesboy6ParticipantDon’t see how this guy slips out of the top 5 in this draft. Huge sleeper right now. I don’t know how you take a guy like Anthony Bennet, MCW, or Plumlee before a guy with this kind of frame. Not a bad motor, seems to know his place. Just off height alone in a draft like this I’d take a chance and even stash him for a year or two like Jonas and Rubio. What else are you gonna do? I’m super bummed on this draft, not gonna lie

nick5354ParticipantImagine if he got a go to sky hook. That thing would be literally unguardable. .
