I don’t know if a NBA player in todays game could stand Gary Payton as their coach. If he is gloating and talking like he normally does.

Fun fact. Gary Payton has two sons named Gary Payton. One is Gary Payton Jr. and the other is Gary Payton II.

He could be a good coach if he learns to tone it down. He’s just way to polarizing to unify a locker room as of now. But he is one of the few players that actually knew everything about the game. He knew defensive, he knew offense, he could run dozens of sets in his sleep.

He should start off as a guard coach and work his way up. Unfortunately, I’m skeptical that someone with his ego could handle a low-level position like that.
