I know this dude was pretty highly regarded coming out of high school a few years ago, but he got off to a slow start at Marquette. But this tourney (and the last few weeks of the season, really) has really been his coming out party. He’s impressed me more than anyone I can think of in the tourney so far, with so many big names disappointing.

I’m having a hard time projecting him though. I know he’s a combo guard, but he still doesn’t really have an outside shot, and he isn’t as freakishly athletic as Westbrook/Wade. What is this guy’s ceiling and floor?

I think if he develops a jump shot, he could be a solid starter. But then again, I haven’t seen him play much, so I was wondering, what do y’all think of him?

The next Jimmy Butler is a safe bet. A guy who gets drafted based on D and hard work. Capable of developing a jumper before his rookie contract runs out and potentially makes your overpaid wings expendable. This is all assuming he goes to good system with a great coach who believes in defense. I’m rooting for him

Has potential to be very good role player, and definitely a closer in the NBA. Kind of like a guard version of Robert Horry but likely nowhere near as good as him

Plays with heart, good D, can score inside and out reliably, but quite short for a 2 guard and definitely not an NBA point guard. Nice intangibles, and can rebound fairly well for a guard despite his size.

    Ceiling: Wesley Matthews
    Floor: Playing ball in Europe

He’s going to have to work hard to stay on a team, but could be a quality contributor if he has the work ethic.

    EDIT: Don’t bother telling me he’s 6’4″. That’s media guide BS. He’s 6’2″. Maybe.

he passed the eye test of being 6’4 to me. But I could be wrong as I doen’t think Gary Harris looks 6’4

I thought Harris looked short aswell, am not convinced he is 6″4 either.

Saw him convert a couple of big shots this season…definitely has the ability to be a very good player..
