aamir543ParticipantDwight had 39 and 16 today, and went 25-39 from the line, 16-20 from the line in the 2nd half, and the Magic employed the Hack-a-Dwight strategy for most of the game.
I know he had a ridiculous amount of free throws, but the way he was playing tonight resembled the man that we saw for a good 5 years in Orlando, he looked like he had a little bounce back in his step, he was dunking with authority, I know it was against a garbage team, but he looked dominant today.
If Dwight can use this momentum, than this can do wonders for the Lakers playoff chances. They still haven’t beaten any great teams other than that one win against the Thunder and I still think there’s no way they’re beating the Nuggets in a 7 game series, but they starting to look dangerous, and if Gasol can come back and D’Antoni can fit him in there, I feel bad for whichever top 3 seed draws them in the first round. Kobe has to be in the top 3 for MVP, there’s no way we can expect him at age 34 to do what he’s been doing. He basically single-handedly won them two games last week with 40 and 10 in both, and has embraced his role as more of an initiator of the offense. It’s been a lot fun to watch Kobe doing his thing the past month.

GlenTaylorSucksParticipantHow does one even get that many FTs?! That’s being fouled like…20-25 times, lol

llperezHack-a-Howard in full effect. Dwight made them pay for it. He played great, but this was a game that is hard to take anything from. Lakers led beginning to end and Orlando sucks. It was close because the lakers were coasting a little. Great in game ft practice though, Dwight was really comfortable and relaxed at the line in the second half. His shooting motion ain’t bad at all ifhe doesn’t get stiff and robotic.

BigChamp12ParticipantI couldnt get a feel for what Jacque Vaughn was doing… They were having better success just going back and forth with LA. Why did he KEEP fouling? I understood trying it, but once he saw Dwight had found his touch, I was confused. Even the announcers were asking “Why”. Was it a strategy to try and win or was it a strategy to ridicule Dwight?

theprophetParticipantit seems like he is a big reason why the lakers are becoming a threat now. his health is getting better and his role on the team is more evident and he is more focused on the game of basketball. i have to admit i have been one to bash him this season, heck even since last year, but he is finally in the zone now.

IknoBall12ParticipantDwight needed to put that game behind him. I feel like he was looking at that game all season. And now that its over he will be able to focus and play ball

King CaluchaParticipantI think he’s (again) the most dominant player defensively and on the boards. Good to see him justify his salary.
