I think we, peoples of nbadraft, need to be more picky about words like superstar. I love Lawson’s game and he has been playing great since feb, but he is not becoming a superstar at the moment. There are very few true superstars in the game today. What I love about this Denver team is that to win games against great teams they do not need a superstar, they just need to execute their balanced and effective gameplan.

A question like this is a bit hard to answer because I feel that Lillard has the potential to be better than Lawson, but it is hard to know just how potential will play out. If I had to choose it would come down to whether or not I could take the risk on Lillards development or if I needed someone a bit further along, like Lawson.

You can’t go wrong choosing either one of them, but I’d take Lillard because I think he’ll more more consistent over a long period with his game due to his jump shot while Lawson might fall off a bit if he loses his speed.

I agree superstar gets tossed around a lot. A guy starts playing well for a little over a season and a half and all of a sudden he’s a superstar? No. I think that u have to be a little more transcendent to be that. Russell Westbrook is just now really hitting superstardom so there’s no way Lawson is there.

your right, i guess what i meant by ‘becoming a superstar’ is that he is playing awesome right now and maybe its just wishful thinking that he will become great
