the barronParticipantAll right so Deron Williams is the man. This guy is one of the best PG’s in the league and in my opinion THE best. But you still need someone to back him up every once in a while. You also never know when he may go down with an injury and having a dependable back up at the point is important. For example look at Orlando. Nelson goes down but you can still bring in Rafer Alston who has been a starter in this league before and help this team go to the finals. The Jazz have Ronnie Price right now, and although he looks good sometimes, he isn’t reliable and Jerry Sloan rather put an aging veteran like Brevin Knight than Price. Anyway i think the jazz should go PF with the 20th pick but if they dont then the next position should be pg. This is a point guard heavy draft and the best fit for the jazz would be Eric Maynor or Patty Mills. If they decide to pick up a PG with the 50th pick than Pargo or Lester Hudson would be worth a try.

SwatLakeCityParticipantI agree, Price is not doing the job, but I don’t see PG as that much of a need for them. If PF are not available at 20, I see the Jazz going for a shooter. (Miles and Kirilenko will probably be traded, and Korver will be leaving because of the raise that he wants) With those 3 out the Jazz definitely need a shooter. (only Harpring, Brewer are left) Shooters are also big in this draft. I can see someone like Young, Ellington, Budinger, or T-will, playing with the Jazz. The Jazz can probably sign an excellent backup for D-will in the offseason (with Boozer and Korver leaving that should give them plenty of cap room), then they trade Kirilenko and Miles for a PF or C. Someone like Bosh or Chandler. With the 50th pick the jazz could go with a PG. someone like Nick Calathes or Tyrece Rice would work out well for the Jazz.
