According to RealGM, Odenis leaning towards signing with Cleveland. I still believe in him and love this move. Im also happy he didnt sign with Miami. What do y’all think if this happens?

It’d be a homecoming of sorts but that doesn’t always go well. For Oden I think he’d be much more comfortable in Clevleland than Miami or any big market with pressure. I really don’t count on him to do anything in the NBA so anything positive he does would a bonus. I hope he can make some type of successful comeback

Health aside, the Cavs should lap this up. When healthy, Oden is a starting caliber NBA center no doubt, I assume he’ll accept the minimum thus reducing the risk and if they use him once every three games, Zeller is more than capable to hold that position and so can Varejao when he returns. As a Cavs fan, I’ll believe it when Oden is actually quoted in admitting his interest. Kyrie Irving is really making Cleveland an attractive place to play basketball.

I’m not surprised. The last thing Oden wants is the pressure that’s in Miami and also living in that type of an area.

Cleveland is more low key. The pressure isn’t as high. Plus he’s been going to college at Ohio State.

    It makes great sense.

Totally off topic and I appologize but could you imagine the Cavs future if they had taken Drummond over Waiters?

      It’s still too early.

Look at what happened to Oden…

I agree a bit too early to say Drummond over Waiters would’ve been the right move. Waiters was the more glaring move, with Thompson and Varejao still there. The talent with Oden has always been there, and I applaud Cleveland for taking a chance. But I just hope they’re not thinking about a Kyrie and Oden tandem for many years, because I still don’t think Oden will last.
