    Interesting article about Shaun livingston. You gotta give him props for coming back from that gruesome knee injury he suffered.

    I swear, no exaggeration my stomach literally flips anytime I think or hear about his injury, the way he fell and the way his knee and leg was looking while he was screaming in pain really moved me.

    I thought he was done.

    I remember watching it happen live. I might have been the only person in Los Angeles watching a Clipper Bobcats game in 2007. It was such a damn shame because he had finally turned that corner and started playing with the confidence he needed to make that next step.

    So much respect for this guy. I don’t think I would have the balls to jump again if this happened.
    On a side note he had a pretty vicious two handed tomahawk the other night, someone should embed it if they find it.

        2nd dunk was nasty.
        I’m pulling for him. Hopefully he gets to stick with the Cavs or some team for more than a short stint. He’s fit in nicely with CLE.

        I too was watching that game when he got injured and it made me sick to my stomach. I don’t think he was ever going to live up to his hype (next Magic? Penny? C’mon now…) because of his build, lack of shooting ability and deferential nature, but I at least thought he’d be a borderline All-Star type with an all-around, 2 way game. For a guy with his size and length, he was one of the most agile and laterally quick players I’ve ever seen. Most tall PGs have to be cross-matched because they can’t keep up with the quickness of jitterbug PGs. but Shaun didn’t have that problem. Defensively he could’ve been a beast because of his combination of quickness, length and IQ.

    great article. he was one of the players i patterned my game after growing up in high school. He had a promising career, injuries happen but im just glad hes able to play again

    Shaun Livingston was a great pickup for the Cavs especially as a mentor for Kyrie Irving because thus far the Cavs management hasn’t gotten a legit veteran PG to show Kyrie the ropes.

    Hopefully he teaches Kyrie how to run a team and not become a Kobe type player in the fourth quarter.

    Does it show his leg in that article? I’m afraid to even look at it man…I can’t handle seeing stuff like that, especially when the same kind of thing happened right in front of me at a basketball camp in 9th grade. The way the guy was screaming man…it was horrible. What exactly happened?

      He went for a layup after a foul was called. Like you know how people do that. He ended up landing and his knee absolutley buckled sideways underneath him. Tearing pretty much every every ligament and dislocated his patella

        So was his leg straight after? I don’t remember where, but I heard somewhere that his leg was bent completely sideways at the knee
