BJ Mullens?

I think he is worth the risk if you can get him towards the end of the 1st round. The only problem is he won’t even contribute to a team for at least 3 years probably. He has the size of a true Center but his skills need a lot of work.

I really liked project bigmen like JaVale McGee and DeAndre Jordan in last years draft. McGee looks promising and though Jordan hasn’t done much in the league the Knicks could really use athletic shot blocking centers. I’d be all for picking up a late first and grabbing Mullens if possible, even if he won’t do anything for 3 years. Skills all there just needs to mature and put his heart into it. Thats worth a late first especially if Knicks draft a PG with th 8th pick already.

he hasnt shown any great defense abilty but he showed potenial in highschool( not a big deal )..but he hasnt shown any heart or work ethic from college -nba workouts so i wouldnt take a chance on him unless you already have a good team in place…if he had been showing that he is a hard worker that would be a different story

For all the people who says the BJ Mullens is worth the risk, you must’ve missed Ohio State’s season. He was the only 7 footer in the Big Ten and he didn’t show any of the “potential” he possesses

thats tru..its funny because the same people who say that give excuses for holiday and say potenial even though he didnt show any great potenial..and they give the system excuse or 4 other excuses..those 2 and rubio are my overhyped high bust factor players

Both Holiday and Mullens definitely did not live up to the hype this year but their projected potential has been based on what they did in high school. Holiday in UCLA is probably not that best place to show his talents, look at Westbrook when he transferred his game to the NBA. Mullens though, well where do I start. He needs A LOT of hardwork to really succeed in this league. He should definitely have stayed in school for another year or two.

does not have the patience to develope a young project, the city and the fans move a rapid frantic pace. The media would never let him develop. He would grow up in the league with no confidence what so ever.

The Knicks can have them. I hope they do draft him, so the Bulls won’t be tempted to make the mistake of drafting him.
