TONYDABOSS77Participanti pick the magic for one reason: pressure on the lakers ..
remember back in 2006 when the lakers were up 3-1 against the suns in the first round
&& lost game 5, game 6 ( kobe had 50 && but only like 4 in the 4th && ball hogged all the way ), && then in game 7 kobe had a meltdown .. he looked to the right of him && saw smush parker && he caved in. he couldn’t handle it. thats what will happen this series. kobe will see pau gasol ( the softest big in the nba ) to his right, lamar odom ( a very good player ) to his left, bynum ( inconsistency at its best ), && derek fisher playing defense ..dont you get it? he has no robin . .lamar odom was supposed to be that but as yo see he’s unable to perform at that level on a consistent basis . .pau gasol is supposed to be that but he disappears in big games . .andrew bynum is supposed to make the city of la forget about shaq but he’s too soft && too inconsistent.
kobe can’t do it by himself . .he can’t do it without shaq . . && its not even about shaq as much as it is about his mindset . .jordan never had a meltdown . .the closest magic ever had to a meltdown was when he got paul westphal ( frogive me for not spelling his name right ) fired . .the closest lebron has had to one is when he walked off the court without shaking hands . .kobe has reached his peak . .he’s letting the jordan comparisons && the lebron thing get to his head . .
the lakers won’t win a title this year && probably not for a while ince their core group of players all leave either at the end of this year or next year

joecheck88Participanti hope the magic win. im tired of everyone picking the lakers like they already won. lakers cant guard dwight. magic cant guard gasol. odom v lewis is even. turk can take ariza. kobe takes anyone. i think its a more even series than most people think.

STEVEDOT2Participanthow can u bring up 2006 totally differnt team smush parker was point fisher was on utah fisher was the point gaurd that has the playoff experinces he has 3 rings howard had trouble against kendrick perkins bynum dominates perkins every time there matched up bynum is 285 howard is 265 bynum is taller and looks to be more stocky and stronger pau is gettin tougher and hes skilled this whole post season lewis didnt have to work on man to man defense now he has odom and gasol to cover . howard will get in foul trouble for trying tohelp lewis this a lead to and open bynum who will get easy dunks and if odom is at the power foward postion an open gasol bynums 21 straight out of high school he has a long way to go look at howard from last year to this year if u really watch howard game he has go to moves he juss doenst dunk n take 1 drible he has sequnces of practiced steps spin moves in trafic spins n fakes out of a post up howard can develope things like this to with gasols help plus we have kobe nobody in the nba as of now has more final apperances he got there for a reason

llperezIf you think the Magic will win, that’s fine. But how on earth are you gonna compare this teamwith the 2006 team? That team started Smush, Kwame Brown, and Luke Walton. Odom was the only help Kobe had, and if Tim Thomas does’nt hit that game tieing 3 at the end of game 6, then the Lakers would have advanced. The Lakers did not have Ariza or Bynum in the finals last year, and they are a hungrier team because of what happened last year against Boston. I say Lakers in 6.

TONYDABOSS77ParticipantMY POiNT iS THAT THE LAKERS ARE SOFT . .THEY COULDN’T HANDLE HOWARD iN THE REGUlAR SEASON . .&& iM COMPARiNG THOSE TWO TEAMS BECAUSE THEiR BEST PlAYER THEN iS THEiR BEST PLAYER NOW . .MEANiNG THAT THE lAKERS WiLL LiVE && DiE WiTH KOBE . .

llperezeasy on the caps lock buddy, my ears are bleeding. Yes the Lakers lost both game this year to the Magic, but the last one was 5 months ago and they were both close games. Nelson was the star of both those games and hit every big shot in the fourth quarters, and he ain’t gonna be the same if he does play. The Magic are a good team, but the Lakers can take advntage of the Magic in ways the Cavs could’nt because we have 3 bigs that are better at the offensive end then any of the Cav bigs. Howard’s gonna have to stay out of foul trouble and Lewis is gonna have his work cut out for him defensively if they leave him to gaurd Pau straight up.

TONYDABOSS77ParticipantTHE lAKERS WON’T WiN BECAUSE Of ANY Of THE BiGS BUT BECAUSE Of KOBE . .WHO WON’T PERfORM WEll . .THE lAKERS ARE JUST TOO iNCONSiSTENT TO WiN A TiTlE && EVERYTHiNG’S WORKiNG ON THE MAGiC’S TEAM
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/04/2009 - 3:18pm #156770

llperezLet’s be realistic. To gaurantee that Kobe will have a bad series against Courtney Lee and Pietrus after he torched guys like RBrewer, Battier, Artest, and DJones is a little optimistic even for a Magic fan. And I’ll let you say what you want, but in a short while you will realize you were wrong.

nthegoodlifeParticipantbe wrong. You also think Brandon Jennings is the next great thing (IDK if he is or insn’t, but I say that) and compare him to Iverson. How old are you?
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/04/2009 - 4:31pm #156815

TONYDABOSS77Participantif im wrong i’ll admit it . .but i won’t be . .&& who are you to say that jennings isn’t the next iverson . .
&& im happy to knw that your a fan of my work0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/04/2009 - 5:32pm #156852

birdman1113Participantit falls on the shoulders of bynum if he can stop howard it makes them a purely three point shooting team and lakers win if bynum struggles the magic have a good chance of winning.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/04/2009 - 6:49pm #156884
STEVEDOT2Participantgasol stopped howard lol from getting the ball with length with length and the lakers scared howard from posting up
bynum did a good job to but if bynum gets it going imagine what he a do to stop howard…perkins gave howard a run and glen but bynum hasnt been this whole post season but we will need big games from him to get us over the hump at times but gasol is far from soft now denver really improved our tougness last year the celtiics had to go thru a tough time to get taht ship this year th elakers had to go through hard times to get there ship howard had 10 and 10 and he got 3 rebounds because everybody was trying get back instead of going for the rebound so he was 10 in 7 not counting those uncontested rebounds in the magic werent shooting good because of the lakes defense there no mis matches any more if nelson was at full power i would have my money on magic but he isnt so lakers got it and iverson is a 1 of a kind player he hold records nobody else can touch saying brandon jennings will do what he did in his career without playing 1 nba game is crazzy i like brandon but untill he play in a nba game he isnt the next iverson iverson 1 of the best of all time

llperezI have never called anyone out for their grammar before, but what in the hell did you just try to say?
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 4:15am #156932
ch15r36isParticipant“perkins gave howard a run and glen”
Is the “Run & Glen” Kendrick Perkins’ signature move or something?0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 5:22am #156948
STEVEDOT2Participantperkins gave howard a run for his money and so did glen geuss thats what happens when you type fast
oh and my howard state line was wrong but i could have swore during the game like teh last final minutes it said 10-10 double double oh and the magic had a bad shooting night because of the lakers defense and if the lakers beat the magic again the seris is over because after a 25 point loss and a sceond lose after that the magic have to have low confidence there going to perfom poorley and howard will get suspened it seem hes picks up 2 techs every series
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 7:16am #156969
bluedevils12ParticipantBruh idk if u saw the game but kobe went off and dwight didnt do s***. no way ur going against kobe in the finals. he cant be stopped and he wont have any bad games. and as for the lakers being soft well…ur entitled to ur own dumba** opinion. u may wanna go head and admit u were wrong
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 8:23am #157000

TONYDABOSS77Participantkobe missed 18 of his 34 shots . . .it will be a 7 game series
game1-lakers
game2-magic
game3-lakers
game4-lakers
game5-magic
game6-magic
game7-magicwatch what i say
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/05/2009 - 11:21am #157115
nthegoodlifeParticipantYou started a thread predicting Magic in 6, then you change it to 7. Is that what your magic 8 ball told you, 7 game. You’re a joke.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/07/2009 - 5:24pm #158266
STEVEDOT2ParticipantYou had magic winning tonite they lost so it 2-0. TONY you have los angles winning the next two also . so 2 wins already and your theory you have the lakers winning the next two again. So is it going to be a 4- 0 sweep I juss want to know your answer.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/08/2009 - 11:58am #158608

TONYDABOSS77Participantthey wont sweep it
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/08/2009 - 2:05pm #158704
nthegoodlifeParticipantof course it won’t be a sweep, because YOU said they will win the series.

TONYDABOSS77ParticipantNOPE BECAUSE THE lAKERS HAVEN’T PlAYED GOOD All SERiES ..
THE MAGiC HAVE GiVEN AWAY GAMES 2 && 40 - Posted on: Sat, 06/13/2009 - 10:17pm #163609

llperezthey can give away games 1 through 7, I dont care. The Lakers own them. I guess they will just get lucky for 4 games like the celtics got lucky for 4 games against them
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/14/2009 - 2:59pm #164244
nthegoodlifeParticipantYou should feel like a jack@ss. You care to predict next years too? Better yet, Super Bowl? I need to know who NOT to pick!
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/14/2009 - 5:20pm #164481
STEVEDOT2Participantwhy did the magic lose?
tony break it down
magic gave lakers a scare tho and i didnt think they would make it here without nelson
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/14/2009 - 7:11pm #164589
bluedevils12Participantguess wat dumb@ss ur prediction was wrong. Kobe and the “soft” lakers won and the magic loss. u kno i agree with the comment above who are u picking to win it all next year? i need to go head and get my bets in now so i dont lose a lot of money. and who cares if the magic GAVE away games. a win is a win
