Has Gani Lawal decided to go back to school? This website doesn’t have him listed in the 2009 draft.

He hasn’t decided yet. I heard if he isn’t guaranteed to be a first round pick then he is going back to school. I would say it is 50/50 right now. I think he should go back to school, with a good year next year in college he could work his way into being a lottery pick.

Gotta figure he’s going back to improve his stock. How good is he going to look next to Derrick Favors next year?

Yeah Georgia Tech will be tough in the post next year with Peacock, Lawai, & Favors. Favors should outshine them all, maybe Lawai will learn a thing or two from Derrick.

Who’s going to get those guys the ball?

Shumpert is a bit turnover prone and dribbles too much, and Udofia is a freshman that we really don’t know much about other than he’s fast and left-handed.

I doubt Udofia will start. Miller will probably start at PG. Shumpert will start at SG. Georgia Tech will be strong down low but their guards are lacking.

Mo Miller is slow, turnover prone, a hesitant decision maker, and a streaky shooter. Being a Tech fan, that would be rough to watch…again.

If Udofia doesn’t start, then I’d hope Shumpert and Bell start in the backcourt, while Favors and Peacock start in the frontcourt. The last spot depends on Lawal.

I’ve seen Udofia in person about 5 times and I think he is a scorer more than a passer/playmaker. He will likely be a 10 ppg 2 or 3 assist kind of guy. I like Shumpert and I think him and Udofia are one in the same so to speak. But Miller, is basically what Kahler Williams just said so except a Udofia Shumpert backcourt, and I pray Lawal returns because he would be chained to the bench in the NBA, he isnt skilled or good enough to play. He would be one of the NBA’s worst players. With that said, Lawal Favors and Peacock would be a solid collegiate frontline with Favors being the main guy.
