I was just readin the dumbest trade ever (Lebron to Miami in a three way deal) wen I read a post by someone that said the only way Lebron would be traded is for a superstar in their prime, an up and coming player, veterans and 1st rounders. As soon as I read it i thought of the Blazers.
It might sound crazy but the blazers could send Roy, Oden, Fernandez, and Blake, and a 1st rounder for Lebron. I’m Not sure if the numbers are right but i thought it be a good trade. The only setback that may occur is the blazers thinking that Lebron wouldnt resign after they made a deal but if he did this would work for both teams.
Let me know what everyone thinks about this.

It’s not worth it to them. What their building is very special despite the step backs in Oden. Don’t be surprised if they actively shop around Sergio Rodriguez, Steve Blake and Travis Outlaw to try and move up in this draft. Another serviceable big would really help this team along ways.

Lebron is not going to leave a medium sized cleveland market for a tiny portland market.

Roy does a good job of scoring, i mean he put up what 42? They aren’t looking for a Lebron type player, they are looking for a good distributor and a banger inside. They have a solid group of core guys that I would not break up….even for Lebron. BUT, there is always a Nike pull in the Rose City.

I don’t think LeBron is crazy about Portland. He would be in a smaller market than he is in right now, (I live in Portland BTW). Plus if you took out Roy, than Portland wouldn’t be any better with LeBron than the Cavs were this season. Maybe if they got their hands on Andre Miller.

    Miller/Rodriguez
    Webster/Bayless
    James/Outlaw
    Aldridge
    Pryzbilla

Your trade makes sense and both teams would probably pull the trigger (If LeBron really wants out) but I don’t think this puts anybody in a better position to win a championship.

i HATE HATE HATE the Andre Miller idea. If they pick him up, I will be very disappointed. I think he is over the hill, hes been in the league for 10 years. I don’t think he adds anything that Steve Blake doesn’t have. Andre Miller has a career 21% 3pt and Blake almost has a 40% (39.2%) career 3pt.

I heard they are trying to pick him up. Either Miller or Kidd.

It’s Veteran leadership for that young squad. I think He’s a serious upgrade over steve blake and if it’s the case I have a $3 louis williams starting in phill next year 🙂

this actually isnt that crazy of an idea…portland would be better in the future then cleveland is now with the peices lebron would have around him…a close to allstar aldrige a shooter in webster and bayless could come along slowly since lebron handles the ball as much as a point guard anyway

You have a much better chance of winning the lottery, than predicting a Lebron trade.
The city of Cleveland would cease to exist if they were to trade Lebron. They will take their chances, and hope that his loyalty to his “hometown” comes before making a few extra bucks in NYC.

Well we saw what Kidd did to the Mavs……Not much. They traded away a much more talented player in the long run in Devin Harris. I thought that was a terrible deal for the Mavs. Mark Cuban strikes again!

I more than agree with Remarq… Lebron will only play for a big market team. Why else would he leave Cleveland, especially considering he grew up in Ohio and most family and friends are probably still there.

Lebron wants to be in a big market. That’s why he will be going to New York before the 2010-2011 season.

They have enough young point guards and a vet like Kidd or Miller would be perfect to help Rodriguez and Bayless. Kidd is a tall point like Bayless and Rodriguez and he was a flashy playmaker (much like Sergio R. is) & would help Bayless develop his point guard skills. I dont see the Lebron to Portland thing being a good idea, because Lebron would never play there, what would he do there? lol…but a veteran point guard (preferably Kidd) would be great

You decided to make a post of my(false trade). I know it wouldn’t work, but, Portland would not dare get Lebron because Portland would be sending too many players. P.S. thanks for the rude comments

any trade involving lebron is ridiculous. You just simply can never get equal value.

I think certain teams could put together some really good packages for Lebron. Portland as before has the players and picks in order to do it.
Other teams that could possibly make fair value: I would nto do some of this deals personally but GM’s might.
    1. Orlando- Howard, Redick, Lee, and Draft picks perhaps.
    2. Clippers- 1st round pick, and have some contracts that could match up well. Kaman just to mention one.
Im sure there are other options that could be done in the Cavs really feel they are going to lose James.

If por picks up andre watch out! The only thing portland is missing is a quality pass first pg. If andre signs with portland number 1 or 2 in the western conference no questionds asked. except injuries to andre or roy.
