TayTooSmooth_ParticipantSince the Hornets are planning on making Austin Rivers their pg for the future, should they start him at pg at the start of the season. I think they should cause they aren’t going to the playoff this year. So they should let Austin Rivers go though his growing pains and develop as a pg for the future.

A Lil EnglishParticipantI’m still looking for a source that says the Hornets are planning on making Rivers their PG. Anyone?

c’mon craigParticipanti know the hornets want to have rivers and gordon on the floor together as much as possible so i can see this. just makes me wonder why they didn’t just draft kendall marshall. he was the best passer i’ve seen on the college level in a while. pairing him with anthony davis could have been special for years.

SiggyParticipantIf they want to ensure that they are the worst team in the NBA, then I say yes.
I’ve watched them throughout the preseason and there is no indication that they still want Rivers to be a PG. They barely had him running the point at all, not even in a backup capacity.

TallmanNYCParticipantHe’s averaging 1.7 assists per game in 28 minutes. He has never played PG or shown really any passing skills in his career.
Also he is shooting 26% from the field. So right now I suspect the Hornets are just hoping he is an NBA player in the future. I certainly wouldn’t ask him to play a new position when he is currently failing to play his normal shooting guard position.

IndianaBasketballParticipantI’d start Brian Roberts at the point. Austin Rivers would be lucky just to crack the rotation.

BigChamp12ParticipantI think they may as well start Rivers at the pg and let him grow up on the floor on side of Eric Gordon. Im not a fan of vasquez forreal, I dont like him as a pg. And Roberts is just not very productive to me. In the preseason he has looked like a D-League player or some. Hopefully they can eventually end up being a Monta Eliis and Curry type- tandem. IMO
