auberParticipantThabeet at 2. No sense in reading downward. I’m sick and tired of seeing these mocks with him at the two spot. It’s a disaster waiting to happen. Marc Gasol is not a Power Forward.

bdoody42ParticipantIt could very well happen. Memphis GM is that sold on him from what I have read.
From what I saw they would try to move Gasol to PF. Then they could have Arthur and Warrick come off the bench.
I don’t agree with him going #2, but the Grizz do.0- Posted on: Wed, 06/03/2009 - 5:22pm #156420
twotrill25ParticipantYeah, i think the Grizz will take Thabeet. He will back up Gasol and be the defense presence once gasol goes on the bench.

ctw724ParticipantWhat will Memphis do? and Who will trade up or trade down? That is going to be the stories of this year’s draft.
Excuse me for a moment…
BULLS TRADE UP AND GO GET DEJUAN BLAIR…Thank you!!!
Now back to our regularly scheduled programming.

IndianaBasketballParticipantIf the Grizzlies draft Thabeet, they’ll be huge in the front court… but SLOW. They’ll have trouble guarding the pick & roll. It’ll be interesting. The word on multiple sites is that they’ll draft Thabeet, but I’ll have to see it happen to believe it. They do need a defensive presence in the post. Idk… We’ll see what happens. I believe there’ll be some trading down, etc in this draft.

xbadgerhustlerParticipantMemphis has to trade this pick with Sacremento and get the guy who fits their needs~ Jordan Hill…IMO. Sacremento wants Rubio, Rubio wants to go to the Kings, Memphis doesn’t need the 2nd ranked guy, they should flip that pick into multiple assets and get the guy they really want. I like Conley-Mayo-Gay-Hill-Gasol. With a year or two together, who knows?

bflaa2ParticipantI have basically the same mock draft. I think Earl Clark goes to the nets though not the BCats. and I have Ellington going to Bcats.

illinimanmarkParticipantSeems pretty solid. I don’t think Blair will fall to 23.

ctw724ParticipantNot bad.
I’m thinking whatever happens at #2 and #7 will dicate the whole draft. If the Bulls trade up for Blair, I can see Jennings dropping as far as #16. I’m also curious to see what Memphis does at #2. Do they dare draft Rubio or simply go with Hill? It should be interesting.
Draft ’09 Forcast = TRADES!!!
