Kinguy11Participanti was under the impression the 2000 draft was considered to be one of the worst.

mikeyvthedonParticipantYou being sarcastic or just flat out forgetting 2000? This would be there line-up, not to mention the fact that many in it had much shorter careers than all of the active players in yours:
PG Keyon Dooling (seriously) PG Eddie House
SG Jamal Crawford SG Michael Redd
SF Hedo Turkoglu SF Mike Miller
PF Kenyon Martin PF Eduardo Najera
C Jamaal Magloire C Joel Przybilla
Yeah, this class was horrid. I had much higher expectations for 2001, but in retrospect it is not a terrible class. Not great, but those 10 guys are still playing solid NBA roles 11 years after they were drafted. 2000 has Jamal Crawford still as a bench scorer, most guys still on squads, but go position by position, 2001 murders this team.

river09ParticipantNo way was 2000 a bad draft class!! MadDog Mark Ellsworth Madsen was drafted that year.

TRC1991Participant2001 was a great class, this post deserves an unlimited amount of negatives
1) tony parker and pau gasol will probably be hall of famers
2) joe johnson, zach randolph, gerald wallace, and gilbert arenas have all been all-stars
3) tyson chandler is an olmypic gold medalist and probable all-star this year
4) jason richardson won a dunk contest
5) samuel dalembert is still in the league as a solid defensive center
6) and shane battier is one of the best role players of all time + has a ring

LipstickParticipantFor sure. I sent that comment at the time when I thought Fred Jones (another dunk contest winner…though I don’t think he deserved it) was drafted in 2000. Woops

LipstickParticipantYou could say only one or two players lived up to their lottery expectations in 2000 and that was Jamal Crawford and Mike Miller (maybe even just Mike Miller, maybe even neither). Kenyon Martin had kind of a Joe Smith-like career as a first overall pick. Some nice seasons early on but burned out and at least turned into a useful role player.

MUbballfanParticipantMichael Redd had some great years with Milwaukee, taken 47th overall I believe. Averaged 26 PPG in his prime.

LipstickParticipantSweet stroke, not so sweet knees 🙁
Would like to see him play for a contender before another injury derails his career.
