Henry25ParticipantI really don’t think Daye drops out of the first round. He wont be a lotto pick because he isn’t good enough, but i highly think that the Lakers, Celtics, Cavs, and other teams at the end of the 1st round will probably draft him. Yes, he isn’t athletic or strong, but he has a good scoring set and is a good passer and ball handler.

RemarqParticipantFor the love of God, I think everyone on NBAdraft.net and all other NBA draft sites need to find his facebook and/or email and convince him to go back to school.

rvirsalParticipantcurry did 185lbs??? and they say he’s skinny and weak. okay. okay, i think daye would fall to the late 1st round to the early 2nd round (25-35 range from the top20). strength is a factor and so is athleticism, i guess he’d be slower if he gained a little more weight. i dont know man, i’m not sure how the scouts and gms would think but imo, it’s pretty bad but he’d do well in halfcourt sets.

ninja12ParticipantI can’t remember. And he’s been an absolute bust. Bench press has probably the least basketball relevance of any of those athletic tests they do at the combine, particularly for perimeter players. I’m not saying that his lack of strength won’t hurt him in the NBA, but it won’t be that big of a deal as long as he works to add some pounds of muscle, proves that he is good off the dribble for his size and can hit the three.

Appleby_15ParticipantI’m not saying that Daye didn’t hurt his stock at the combine, but its not like teams thought he was strong, quick, or athletic coming in. Besides, that’s not his game. The guy is six-ten, can create his own shot, stretch the floor, and cause mismatches for almost any power forward in the game. His talent is obvious and he still has room for development, so lets not go overboard. In the NBA draft its all about potential, and Daye definitely has it. I agree that he should probably go back to school, but I’m sure teams picking in the 20’s would be happy to have him, especially in this weak draft.

auberParticipantHe’s a first rounder, but this doesn’t help his stock. He needs to go back badly.

joecheck88Participantdurant didnt bench much more if any but i think durant is quicker and daye has never been close to national player of the year.

butidonthavemoneyTested
Last in the 3/4 Court Sprint
Last in the Bench Press
Last in the Max Vert
2nd Last in the No Step Vert
2nd Last in the Land Agility
Reminds me of Monta Ellis a few years back when he showed up at the combine hungover and tested as a horrible athlete.

Meditated StatesParticipantIf he wants to play in the NBA he must go back to school and work on his game and fitness. He is too weak to grab 3 boards in the NBA. I don’t think he is much of a prospect.

Killer_kat12345ParticipantSo Daye is 6’10” and 190Lbs… and expects to play the SF/PF positions in the NBA…
How does he expect to play against other players at those positions, when he isn’t even 200Lbs, and can’t bench 185Lbs ONCE!!!I am 19 years old, who measures in at 6’5″ and 230Lbs… And can Bench Press 20 reps of 200Lbs… Even after tearing my ACL, PCL, and Meniscus in a football injury last year, I feel that I could have performed better at the Combine…
I am quite hopeful that he puts on some weight, and will be a great bench player for a top team in the league, with one of their late 1st round picks… But it was disappointing to hear how he finished at the combine…

JNixonParticipantHe isnt the type that would be a workout wonder though. He is obviously weak, just by looking at him. He is slow from watching him in games too but I though he would be faster than most of the big men at least lol…he should be a 1st round pick though. He will be a perimeter scorer/shooter off the bench. I really dont think he’s capable of getting a whole lot stronger, he has real narrow shoulders. But he could pick up about 15 or 20 lbs though..if thats enough is still to be seen
