     i was just doing my predictions on lebron’s stats next year and it got me thinking:

    do you think if lebron said ‘Fuuck it, i don’t care about winning or the outcome of the game, i just wanna stuff the boxscore"

    takes way less shots and focusses on getting those 10 assist…def capable of.

    considering he’s gonna get more looks at PF. and if he were to stop trying to push the break like a maniac and concentrated on those rebounds i think he could reach 10rpg.

    i think he just doesn’t do it because it wouldn’t make him a better player or a bigger winner

    lol I’m pretty sure this is the complete opposite of his thought process.

    But I think he could approach 10 assists this game given Ray Allen is sinking the 3s. 

    The Heat missed an unusual number of 3s last season. Shane Battier shot something like 33% from 3 and most of them looked like they’re from the corner. Mike Miller struggled also and Mario is Mario. W/e he does LeBron’s just going to yell at him.

    If he wanted a triple double, I’m sure he could. But caring about statistics only is a sure-fire way to never win a title again.

    that’s were im trying to get at.

    but what if he said ill just do that in the regular season, and turn it on for real in the playoffs

    I’m nitpicking, thinking of trickle-down effects.

    Chemistry is huge in basketball. When you’re best player is worried about stats over wins, even if there’s a chance that might change in the playoffs, I think it would affect the team in a very negative way.

    It would just look ridiculous after a while. Being statistic concious,…youtube Andray Blatche and his chase for a triple-double.

     They are all stat conscious. In part it is because they are paid for stats not so much for rings and playoff victories. That is why starters generally don’t like to get their minutes cut even in blowouts against bad teams. They want the minutes to pad their stats. But they still need to play within the strategy of the team. Also, I don’t know why you think lebron would want to give up points per game so he could get s triple double. Don’t you know that the casual fan pretty much ranks players by their points per game stat and that is it. If lebron doesn’t score then he will start getting treated by the fans like Dre Iggy even if the rest of his contributions are great.

     Lebron has the body and altheticism to average 11 rpg in the NBA, but he’s too perimeter oriented to be a regular 10 rpg player.  At least in this stage of his career, I don’t see him staying around the bucket enough to be a double digit rebounder.

    I do think he will be a power forward in his mid 30’s, but in his athletic prime, he’s on the wing too much and he won’t get over 9.
