I hear rumors about Wizards and Mavs trade and i think it could happen. Dallas Mavericks are very interested about Jordan Hill who could play a center for them because he have a 9´0 reach and he could play beside Nowitzki who is a 7-footer. Hill can bring them energy and rebounds and thats what Mavs need because they have Nowitzki and Terry for scoring. It could be a 6 player trade with draft picks.

Washington trade 5. draft pick (Jordan Hill or James Harden) + Antawn Jamison, DeShawn Stevenson and Darius Songaila

Dallas trade 22. draft pick + Josh Howard, Antoine Wright and Jerry Stackhouse (expiring contract!)

Washington have 77 millions guaranteed contracts for next year and they are over the Salary Cap limit. Stackhouse contract (7,250.000) is not guaranteed for season 2009/2010 so Wizards can bought him out and that will put them under the Cap. Wizards have 20 millions expiring contract (Haywood,James,Thomas) so they can go after superstar in summer 2010 too!. They get another All-star in Josh Howard and they can see how could play beside Arenas and Butler and if things wont work then Wizards still can opted out Howard contract because they have Team option for season 2010/2011 and they can let him go and spend that money on some one else. They will have enough money to add two superstars (Amare Stoudemare or Chris Bosh and Joe Johnson)!!!

WAS lineup: Arenas-Butler-Howard-Blatche-Haywood , Crittenton,Young,Wright,McGuire,McGee + 22 draft pick (DeJuan Blair or Ty Lawson..)

    DAL lineup: Kidd-Terry-Jamison-Nowitzki-( Hill ) , Barrea-Stevenson-Songaila-Bass-Dampier… or Terry-( Harden )-Jamison-Nowitzki-Dampier

I like the trade but I want to say something…If the Washington Wizards make this deal and if they could have Blatche and McGee step up ( 35ppg and 18 rpg bewteen them) and Arenas could come back….They could make a Finals appearance

Washington can get Amare Stoudemare or Chris Bosh in summer 2010. Stoudemare already said he will like play for Wizards.

Actually they are talented enough to average that much without Jamison there and a more talented perimeter team but I think with Butler and Howard the rebounds would not be as high bur I can see them both putting up at least 15 points easy.

I’m not going to bash this one because it makes a lot of sense for both teams. If you had a link I’d love to see where you got your source from.

I look at it like this. Jamison isn’t getting any younger and you have the ability to add a young sf in exchange for his aging services. You allow Arenas to play his point guard and Howard slides to the two position. Butler plays SF and you allow Blatche and Mcgee to develop around them.

It really does make a lot of sense.

I don’t think that makes sense for Dallas.

Their payroll, if they waive Stack and sign their #22 pick is $67.07 mil in 2009-10 and $39.3 mil in 2010 (Dirk, Terry, Barea, Carroll, #22)

If they make that trade, and assuming they let Kidd AND Bass go, they would be at $73.0 in 2009-10 and $63.4 mil (Dirk, Terry, Barea, Carroll, Jamison, Songalia, Stevenson, #5) in 2010

Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m sure Cuban would pay the money for a contending team, but seriously is way too much money to pay for a #5 pick AND lose Howard in the process.

Their depth chart would look like this:

    C: Dampier
PF: Nowitzki / Jamison / Hill / Bass (or not) / Songalia / Williams
    SF: George
    SG: Stevenson / Carroll
PG: Kidd (or not) / Terry / Barea

That is one hell of a payroll for such a lopsided roster.

If, and only if, you remove the #22 pick AND send Jamison to Charlotte (Wallace) or the Bucks (Jefferson) or some other team, they may concider that. Til then, I see ZERO percent chance that Dallas does that. Even with Jefferson, the loss in talent from Bass leaving (won’t re-sign with Hill/Jamison) and the loss in defense from Jefferson to Howard hurts and they are still taking on mucho payroll.

Washington is getting robbed. Jamison is a stud and they already have a player like Howard but better in Butler. Dumb trade.

Washington dont go nowhere with Arenas, Butler and Jamison! Is time for change! Jamison is more of a small forward and they dont have a guy inside who can score so they should go after Stoudemare or Bosh or Boozer. They need change and start over and same time clear cap space and look for future! It wont take too long cuz they have Arenas and Butler and some nice young players and i am sure lots of superstars will like to play there!
