lakeshow22ParticipantStephen Curry, Brandon Jennings, Ricky Rubio, Kyrie Irving, John Wall
Among those 5 point guards who has the best chance of making the All Star team this season in order.
Also rank these point guards on talent and potential now and in 5 years?

SiggyParticipantMaybe Kyrie, even if he just slightly improves on his per minute #’s from last yr.
Right now and going forward I’d rank them in terms of ability and impact: Irving, Rubio, Wall, Curry (if the ankle troubles are over) then Jennings.
Talent and potential is another story though. Wall would be ahead of the pack then, but I don’t think he has the intangibles to reach his potential. Following him would be Irving, Rubio, Jennings then Curry.

eazy_peachesParticipantI think Kyrie Irving will be an all star this season. Last season, the Cavs were limiting his minutes to play it safe considering his injury history. He ended up playing 30.5 minutes a game and I fully expect his minutes to jump.
Last season he averaged 18.4ppg 5.4apg 2.7rpg 1.1bpg, and shot extremely well for a rookie PG, with a .469 FG%, .399 3FG%, and .872 FT%. I think he will continue to shoot well and improve on the rest of his game.
Also, not sure if you realize it but Ricky Rubio is expected to be out until around Christmas (last I heard) from his torn ACL last year. So I wouldn’t expect him to be there.

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantI’m going to go with John Wall on this one.
Here’s my reasoning: It’s going to be hard for Rubio or Curry to make the team in the West. With Monta Ellis gone, Curry should have a great oportunity to up his stats but CP3 and Westbrook barring injury probably have spots wrapped up and Tony Parker and/or Steve Nash should be hard to leave off either. Throw in Jeremy Lin and his popularity into the mix, not to mention the shooting guards like Kobe, Harden, EGordon and it might be too crowded for one of them to break in this year. Rubio should put up good assist and steal numbers but his growth may have been a bit stunted due to his injury, it remains to be seen how much if any he has improved.
The East has Deron Williams and Rajon Rondo but with the injury to Derrick Rose, their should be an open spot available for somebody. IMO Jennings numbers and impact might take a bit of a hit due to Ellis. I love Irving as a player (was one of the biggest fans of his game before the draft last year) but I don’t think he has a good enough supporting cast to do too much this year. John Wall didn’t show much improvement from his rookie to his sophomore season but I think he’s poised for a breakthrough year this season. The Wizards brass has surrounded him with more team players, he has Beal to take pressure off him in the backcourt, Ariza and Okafor to focus on defense and Nene to score down low. The third year is usually when point guards, have a breakthrough season, so I’m going to go with Wall on this one.

Jlv2012Kyrie will have a sophomore slump. Curry’s ankle will mess up again. Jennings will shoot a billion shots for only 40 FG% and Rubio probably won’t even be back in time to qualify for the All-star game.

IndianaBasketballParticipantIt’s between John Wall and Kyrie Irving.
I’ll go with whoever’s team is better, which looks like it’ll probably be Wall’s if Okafor, Nene and Ariza don’t get injured.

FastAndFuriousParticipantIm going with Wall, his team is destined to win and usually most high draft picks have their breakout years in year 3, Wall’s averages are 16,8,4 which means if he breaks out he could average a double double(Points and Assist) and have a winning record.
