Hes 21 years old, 6-10 230 lbs. and is a good rebounder. He was just waived by the Hawks. The Sixers should take a flyer on this kid and at least invite him to camp! He could be a good practice player going foward and maybe more? If the Sixers are giving Kwame Brown a contract, then they are in desperate need of more bigmen. After Andrew Bynum, its a huge drop in quality bigs for the Sixers.

p>I havent been commenting as much since my pc broke but I still read the threads eryday from my phone and ery now n then I’m forced to log in on my slow phone to comment and add some logic to threads like this one.
First off I like Jordan Williams I think he can eventually become a solid starter or atleast a valuable big off the bench. He has very soft hands, a soft touch, runz the floor despite being a lil chunky which he’s improved greatly since entering the league and has double double potential.
But the Sixers do not need him because they have in fact one of the deepest frontcourts in the league. Besides Bynum whose now the best C in the East the Sixers have Hawes, Thad Young, Lavoy Allen, n Kwame who could alll easily start. Lavoy Allen is hands down better then Williams and would be my choice to start at PF. Allen played lock down defense on Garnett in the playoffs and is a very poliahed all around player who posses a knockdown 18 foot jumper. He got all the makings of the next Kurt Thomas. Hawes only trouble is staying healthy but he may be the best passing big in the league and can shoot all the way out to 3. He was averaging 12ppg, 12.5 rpg, n 4apg before getting hurt last year and himself is only like 24. He then came back in theplayoffs and had two straight 20 n 10 games. He’s inconsistent but he still has Marc Gasol like potential and had he never got hurt he may of took Roy Hibberts. place on the All Star team as he was playing better.
Then u got Kwame who despite possesing no hands or offensive ability is still. physical specimen who can go out and guard the other teams best big man night in night out hence why he keeps getting signed by teams to b their starting center.
And I didn’t even mention Arnett Moultrie who is so much better then Jordan Williams I shouldn’t have to explain. So the Sixers got all these young talented big men who are all better then Williams it would make zero sense to even consider him. And if they

We already have Bynum, Kwame, and Hawes who are true centers.

As Sixers fan I’m excited about the amount of quality bigs we finally have but I’m also disapointed that Moultrie who has so much promise is gonna get no burn. Unless he starts blocking shots at a high rate and becomes an aggressive defender which are both very possible I doubt he ever sees the court this year.

Before the trade that changed erything happened I predicted Moultrie to have a similar impact as a rookie to Markieff Morris as a rebounding big who was gonna use his sweet jumper to become a pick n pop threat. Moultrie. has a ton of upside he’s extremely athletic for being 6’11 wit a 38″ vert and he’s like a gazelle running the floor. He also got a mean streak with the ability to put the ball on the floor an attack the rim if his man closes too hard on his shot.

Jordan Williams has to many limitations he’s not very athletic and despite possesing a wide body to play C he only has a 6’11 wingspan meanin hell be overmatched in the length department which is a big deal in the post. The only thing the Sixers truly need is another pure ball handler and facilitator unless Collins has faith in Maalik Wayns who btw should excel in this system.

Jordan Williams is actually 6’7 3/4” barefoot and 260 lbs, he’s pretty slow-footed and isn’t defensively minded, I never thought he was going to be a solid pro

He wouldn’t get no P.T on the 6ers, we don’t need em unless injuries happen.
