LerinErinParticipantThe year that Toronto drafted that 24 year old center from Somewhere in Latin America, (guy was such a rotten draft pick I always associate the year with that pick…. Also Raptor called him Hoffa even though his name nothing like that. I think it was Raphael something, anyway this only serves as a timeline.
Hollinger hada very interesting idea that year, he posed that a team could have one bad apple, Artest, S Jackson, R Wallace, Javalle M etc and the team still be ok but have more than one of these type guys and teamo suffered…..
S Jackson has never been a problem in teams like Atlanta and the Spurs… But put him on a team with Artest and all hell breaks out. Zach Randolph was a GANSTA THUG x infinity in Portland but move hime to Memphis and he is a fantastic guy.
I wonder If Washington doesn’t make a huge jump, just based on getting rid of 2 very low BBall iq guys.
Rant over

omphalosParticipantWho is the remaining bad apple guy in Washington? Some would argue Wall has attitude problems, but I think he’s just young.
Either way, I fully expect Washington to make a huge leap this coming season, with great vet additions, and some very talented youngsters who can grow into their roles instead of forming bad habits early on by being asked to do too much. I really like Washington’s lineup now and in the future, but it will all come down to how far Wall can take them. He’s surrounded by great role players now, but he’s the guy who has to be a superstar if they are going to be successful.

4thewinParticipantWas JaVale McGee and Andray Blatche

omphalosParticipantI’m aware that Blatche and McGee are gone but this guys whole thing was that you could have one bad apple and still be okay, if he doesn’t think there is a bad apple then the theory has no relevance at all to the Wizards.
The biggest knucklehead left is probably Jordan Crawford I suppose.

aamir543ParticipantHow is Jordan Crawford a knucklehead? Because he takes too many shots? He’s a chucker, but it’s unfair to lable him as a bad apple when we have not one piece of evidence that says so.

omphalosParticipantWell, he’s a ball-dominant, volume-shooting, undersized SG, and he said that he thought he could be better than Michael Jordan, which reveals what he thinks about his talents as a player.
Try to use some basic reading comprehension and understand that I said he was the "biggest knucklhead left" not a "big knucklehead". The key difference being that he’s the worst of a relatively good bunch, not a true knucklehead like Young, Blatche and McGee were. It’s like saying Rondo is the biggest knucklehead on the Celtics, he’s really not a knucklehead, but of all the players on the roster, he is the apt person for that label.
The whole reason I said that Crawford "might" have been the biggest knucklehead was because I was unsure that there was in fact a true knucklehead on the Wizards roster.
So I think it’s unfair to label me as someone who called him a knucklehead when we have not one piece of evidence that says so.

Hmm…I’ll have to think about it.

RUDEBOY_ParticipantJavale McGee,Nick Young & Andray Blatche were just some Immature Flat Out Clowns….And if you listened to people that were close to the Wizards, there was alot of jealousy, and neither 1 of those guys like each other…Most of the time when you’re around people that act like you and love doing the same things you do,normally yall can get along..But there were several fights, guys not passing the ball or setting picks..That just shows how much those guys lacked intelligence….
Some coaches look for a guy with attitude and have some toughness..That will set hard screens and isnt afraid to knock a star player on his butt when he tries to attack the basket…
Rafael Araujo was good in college, and looked like he could become a solid nba backup or part-time starter…I felt he was a 1st round pick, but not a lottery pick…
